Brought my 2 day old Fit to the dealership for a Xzilon paint and fabric treatment. I guess I got suckered in by the sales guy to purchase it.

Where is the best place to buy carpeted floor mats??

Ha, that will have to wait until the warranty is up.

Took my silencer out a couple days ago and went for a hilly hour long highway drive. Got to the gfs house to find that the exhaust had melted a hole in the rear bumper.
Don't care that much, rear bumper is already banged up a lil from backing into a brushhog a year ago.
Anyone else with the Megan axle back have anything like this happen?
No problems with heat when the silencer is in place.
Also got and installed birthday present from said gf. Valentine 1 baby! (I think she's a keeper)

Damn. Really? So, it was installed okay, and all you did was remove the silencer? I'd be contacting them. This is the GE-specific model, correct?

Yep. Think I probably should. It's the "drift style" by the way

Def both. My brother has the v1 on his 3 series and it's been a life saver.

4th day of having the car and I had tint installed today. Looks lightyears better and is a ton cooler on the inside. All add-ons have been ordered, just waiting for them to come in.

Ordered:
Air Deflector
Body Side Moldings
Cargo Cover
Cargo Tray
Door Edge Film
Door Sill Trim
Door Visors
Driver's Armrest w/Storage
Interior Illumination
Rear Bumper Applique
Weather Tech FloorLiners

I'm thinking about buying the JDP carbon front spoiler next.

Back to my modding ways. The joys of getting a new car. Had it for a week and have done to it so far:

wheel locks
body side moldings
tint
Draw-tite hitch
rear bumper applique
auto-dimming HomeLink rear view mirror
WeatherTech floor liners
rear cargo tray
accelerator tension spring DIY
armrest

I think that is all I am going to do to it. All of it is for functional use.

She's a good Gift Giver. I've had my V1 for over 10 years and have it hardwired. (If you haven't hardwired it, check out the DIY in my SIG for installing the V1) It's super reliable and rock solid having seen hardwire installs in 3 out of the last 4 cars I've had it in. Still on the original suction cups too. They look weak but last forever.

Drove it like I stole it for the first time during ownership
after 1,800 miles.

Conclusion: The Fit does not make the best get-away
vehicle in stock form.
