I might be bias, but I think our car actually looks better in person than the pictures can justify with that modulo lips

oh, don't forget to change the picture on your signature, cause it still show your car without the modulo lips (only the center garnish)
lol thanks bmw_alpina. i'll change it in a few days. figured people can see past and present comparison!

Do have to say, looks better on silver than one white because the gap tape blends in whereas on any other color (besides maybe dark metallic and black) it'd stand out.
well, I guess the 90's/early 2000's ricey body kits with the extended "fangs" are back in voque

check this latest prototype Lamborghini Cabrear (Gallardo Replacement) :

and

latest M4:

or latest M3:

or SL:

heck, even the "upcoming" 2015 Civic Type R looks like it is growing a fang:

so yeah, Fang is definitely is.... in voque

oh, here is my fang, just for comparison against all the car with "fangs" hahahhahahaha

No doubt they aren't coming back, but just to me, they didn't look good then, and they don't look good now. Of the examples you posted, the only real "fanged" look are from the Lambo and BMW, of which I particularly HATE the BMW's new direction. Ever since Bangle left, it's gone to shit. Even he doesn't like where current car designs are heading.

But looks are all relative to the owner, and if you're happy with them, then you're happy with them.

At least the fangs on the Type R look like functional canards. Bottom lip on the Lambo looks like it'd he helpful too. Not sure the function of all that pizzaz on the Bimmers.

Quoted your car because I think it's classy <3.

ryu, I think you sold the lower center garnish already(?)

I think that piece will tie everything in all together nicely.

Put it on temporarily and take a pic if you want. I have a feeling it will tie the Mugen grill, and the Modulo lips together...

Damn that Mugen grill looks nice... lookd great on your color GE8 (also white & probably black too)

it changes color, its really a slate gray (blue/gray), but depends on the light it turns to dark grey to black, to silver. i kinda like how it goes with the rest of the stuff. it gives the front end a subtle H lines.

Not everyone is going to like the same thing, I personally like both of the "fang" setups

Only problem for me is that I would prefer to have a flat bottomed bumper for protection of the bumper. My daily commutes are too gnarly to have pieces of the bumper extruding

I'm going to switch back to 5w-20 next oil change. Last two oil changes I've used the 0w-20 and I keep having to add oil about every week. No leaks under the car, so it must just be too thin and the engine's burning it...

Another DIY CAI

Finally finished my CAI. Used Spectre parts including Inline Air Filter "tube".
Love the way it sounds. Don't know if any performance improvement but mpg is up at least 1 mpg (and that is after running it harder than before) but still has stock exhaust & muffler.

Thought I'd send a pic but just noticed I "may not post attachments".

Nope, probably won't get any performance improvements. And your increase in mpg is in your head, or due to any of the other numerous factors that dictate fuel economy. Just removing the air box and putting a cone filter on there isn't going to increase your mpg in this car.

My intake gave me response, sound, and a touch more mpg. The stock airbox destroys air velocity quite a bit. the improved velocity through the intake DOES infact helps.

Or has Honda found a way to defy physics in your head?

If you say so. I have the K&N Typhoon, and my mileage fluctuates between 30 and 35 on a regular basis...SOOOOOOO many things affect your mileage from one tank of gas to another, I don't know how you can accurately measure an increase as small as 1 or 2 mpg and attribute it to a new intake. Correlation does not constitute causation.

Well, Im in the military, so during the week my car goes down the exact same route and my miles during the week are always within 5-10 miles of driving through out the week, for the past several months since Ive been keeping track.

It does make a difference. It definitely did on the way to wisconsin and back. I was able to grab approx an extra 20 miles per tank between refills. Also, to fight the chance of flucuation, I topped each tank to the filler cap, literally. Shaking the car even, to get any air trapped out.

Its a minor increase, but it IS there!

Ok I believe you. But were you keeping very strict track of your mpg before doing a new intake? And from tank to tank you were getting almost the exact same mpg calculation? And then after installing the intake you still got nearly identical mpg calculations from tank to tank, but they were higher than before installing it? And on a long drive from Texas to Wisconsin how do you compensate for all the random wind you're going to hit, not to mention elevation changes, road conditions, etc, etc. Not trying to be a dick at all haha, I just don't know how accurate it is when people say things improve their fuel economy, because of all the things that can affect it.
