I haven't had the chance to do any cruising with the car after I installed it, since I installed it just as I was starting work, and was a bit tired once I got home from work.

I maybe I'll do a cruise tonight after work.

Received the bumper strip today, will put on once it warms up a bit...also ordered the center console armrest off of Ebay..with a 10% coupon it came to 166 bucks...not too bad!

I bet evil is the first and maybe only to get those j's tails. I doubt anyone beyond shop cars specializing on ge fits will cough up close to $600 on a set of tail lights.

 

Not necessarily true. I think there are at least a couple of people like me who are kinda waiting for someone else to pull the trigger first and gets some good pics up on here. I would hate to buy them then not like them waaaaaay more than what I have now. I 100% love my DEPO tails at 1/4th the price haha.

As for what I've done for my Fit lately: Ordered my RPF1's and Dunlop Direzzas for the track, and bought some black Muteki lugs for that set up. Gave it a good wash and interior vaccum. Wanted to wax it but ran out of time. Switched gas stations and it really seems to appreciate the change. Started test-fitting my interior trim kit in preparation for warmer weather. Aaaaaaaaaaand, a biggie: ordered my Clazzio seat covers today!

I have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off and I'm planning on getting some work done on the Fit. Watch here and on my thread for pics.

that's a lot of assuming though. it just bugs me a little when people claim to be "the first to _____," unless they know it for a fact. otherwise, it's just a fact-less claim.

not everyone puts photos of their parts and modifications online for the world to see. i've known a couple of such people with some top-notch imported parts, and they didn't even know what a forum was, seriously.

i don't know who's first or not, but it'd be nice if people could keep the claims real. how about "possibly one of the first." LOL, i know, maybe i'm just being nit-picky...i guess it's just a pet peeve.

anyways, those taillights are FREAKING NICE!

 

For cryin out loud... it's just tail lights... and as for my assumption, I was in contact with PPI, the authorized distributor of j's products in the US, along through our conversations and my iquiries of pictures of the smoked version installed. They contacted me a few days later that they don't have pictures of the smoked lights installed or being installed and if I should go through with my purchase... it would be the first and would love to have pics of them installed on my fit.

then again and as I've said... It's just tail lights, no biggie and yes I ordered mine 12/1/10 and god know how many else was ordered or even ordered before mine...

 

Well you could always state first to have J's LED lights for, and state your VIN#. You would never be wrong in that instance as nobody else is ordering parts for your GE8.

 

Nuff said already! I don't understand why yur having to make an explanation regarding yur J's tails... It does "not" matter if you have the first one's or not, the fact is you have a pair now! I have not seen anyone else with them on this forum yet, unless I missed something. If you paid $500.00 or $1000.00 for them it makes no difference man..if that's what you want for yur ride by all means do it....

Well... I'm trying to figure out what to do with it.

I don't like having the hubs exposed without the center caps... but find it a little hard justifying getting the Enkeis center caps. For one, it's way too much like announcing to the world "Ooh, look at me, come steal my wheels!!!" along with that, it says "racing" which I'm not doing or even want anything said at all. The second issue... from TireRack, $25 per cap? I'll be honest, I haven't shopped for center caps before, so I'm not sure if this is cheap or expensive... Just making me hesitant.
