Armrest is off. I have one cover on the mirror sitting on the workbench. Need to know about the third wire. Also the thread wiring through the mirror base seems to have me baffled.

Base on circuit above, you need only a pair for turn signal.

LEFT: BLU / BLK (GROUND)
RIGHT: WHT / BLK (GROUND)

Please let me know if you need further assistant.

Thanks FITMugen. From what I have read I only need two wires as well for the signal lights to work. I have identified those at the fuse box. I will test the three wires on the mirrors and see which two work and use them for the signals. If I cannot find out what the third is for I can just leave it dis-connected. I still think it makes the lights stay on when headlights are on sort of like sidemarkers. Or could be they come on when unlock doors?

I am going to send email to the seller and see if they can help as well.

Thanks again

bill

A fun morning.

Covers are on and wires are pulled to inside of car. Tomorrow I will wire them up.

I used a 9 V to test. The third wire lights up a blue LED. I believe they are illegal here so will not wire them up.

It is not the easiest of mods. My fingers are sore from poking and pulling wire. Getting the new covers to snap on was a chore. Snaking a wire from door to pillar was a bitch.

Hi everyone!

I have decided that I want to install the power folding heated turn signal mirrors. It was funny that I found this forum, I had been talking to my boss how great it would be if the I had power folding mirrors with heat and then BOOM! here is the post! I am not concerned about the install it looks fun and I will probably enjoy it, my concern is where to get them, I will not settle for less than genuine Honda parts. I know FITMugen went to Canada to get the heated mirrors but what about the folding power assembly? and I still have questions on who I talk to, will a Honda dealer order me the parts if I bring them the part numbers and the cash? I would appreciate any direction you can send me! thanks.

Whatever there will be a lot of wires to connect in the fuse panel. Nimble fingers are a big big help. I had plenty of enjoyment just doing the two for the signal lights.

No, Thailand Jazz dose not come with heated side mirrors. It only comes with auto-fold and integrated turn signal in top model.

Maybe. When I had my heated ones out to do the covers there are just two wires connected to the back of the glass. So get Cdn heated glass and put in the folding covers.

Actually, you can buy it from AJ-Racing @ A&J Racing :: Interior :: Mirrors :: JDM Honda Power Folding Mirrors - Honda Fit 09+ (GE8)

However, It will cost you $557.15 per pair/set plus s&h. AR-J might be able to order heated mirrors for you as well.

I bought mine from a Honda dealer in Thailand. It costed me ~$300. I got heated mirrors for ~$100.

If I were you, I would try 2010 Honda Insight side mirrors assemblies. It comes with heated side mirrors.

One thing for sure, you can use heated mirrors from 2010 Honda Insight but you have to swap mirror holders.

You will enjoy this project and it is worth it, IMHO.

FITMugen, I indebted to you! thank you for the link, I never would have found it myself. that is a pretty penny, but its all together in one set and its HONDA! no cheap aftermarket, I am weighing my options but this seems like a good one! to anyone who doesn't know, the button for the folding mirrors looks to be the same as the one on the new CR-Z and you should be able to get it in the usdm market. since I am going to have this all torn apart to wire it into the fuse panel, I have been looking at adding a auto dimming mirror anyone had any luck with this?? let me know. Once again Thank you very much FITMugan for the info. I will let everyone know on the progress of my project.

Hi Guys,

I got a Jazz with the RC switch that sports a power fold button... But my mirrors doesn't fold automatically when I lock the car using the key remote control. Signal lights on the mirrors are working and they also blink when the car is locked.

Is it possible to have auto-folding mirrors when locking the car?

I went through this thread but can't really see what you refer to as "auto-fold". Is it only "power-fold" when you hit the button on RC in the instrument panel or a real "auto-fold" when locking the car?

Can you please point me to the right direction?

Do you mean like these auto folding mirrors?

1,500 thai baht = $50 US, but I am sure you can buy this in the US.

It's not too expensive, just get a garage to do it for you or you can look forever on google. I guess you will still need to buy a relay maybe from ebay.

I'd rather not rely on a local garage to do it for me... Not really sure if they got the competencies...

Nobody did this on his Jazz/Fit?
