satisfying and totally straight to the point. This is the point of reading many statements with presumed potential issues about the GK but all of these guys, including myself, still haven't driven the damn thing yet.

How can you know you want a 2015 Fit, having never sat in one for a sustained period of time, never having driven one, etc.? You can't say the Fit is the best package for the price, for all we know right now...it could be worse than the new Versa Note/Yaris/etc.
I have owned more than 50 cars in my life, about 20 have been new cars and about half of them I did not get the chance to test drive before buying. I have always been able to determine if the car would fit my needs by doing my homework. Test drives, can answer some specific questions, but you really will miss as much as you catch during a test drive.

Having owned a previous fit and a dozen Honda/Acuras, I have a good feel for what to expect. But I am currently taking the time to research all the other possible cars before making my next car purchase to make sure that I don't overlook something I might enjoy more than a 2015 Fit.

After reading both your posts, I could'nt help but be entertained. Some of these guys are making prophesies as if they are proven facts when in reality, none of us retail buyers in the US (except JasonT) have driven the GK at all.

Keep them replies coming!!! You've hit the right track!!!!

By the numbers a Fit won't win many awards, but as a package nothing else comes close I think.
I have always liked the Fit, one of Consumers Reports top picks. So other then buying a Prius, what comes close to the versatility, price and reliability of an Fit. It's smaller then I am used to, I feel can haul much more in my HHR, you can put a 10' 2x4 in that and close the hatch. But I have a truck for that and for performance I have a Corvette that will go 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds and still gets 26 mpg. So I think the Fit would be a good Fit (get it the Fit would be a good Fit)..
I have drove the Prius C and it is a piece of crap, couldn't give me one of those. The Prius lift back is another story, pretty nice other then no power seat and price, gets the same mpg as the C.

That's why I got the Fit.

It can Fit almost anything, even a 8ft 2x4 however from the outside it doesn't look like it can. (https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...-your-fit.html)

It gives you great fuel economy.

It can handle like a Corvette.

But the only thing it can't do is go fast...

It also looks unique, in a good way. Not the Juke way.

Otherwise it's a best of both worlds car.

You guys live on the edge that's cool man, but i'm sure not buying or even putting money down on something I spend a good part of my life without making sure it does everything I want it to, and if you do, PLEASE don't come on here complaining about anything. I've already seen that movie and it sucks.

I sold my HHR 2LT 2.4L that I put almost 80,000 miles on and got a new 2013 Sport 5speed MT. I couldnt be happier!!! Im not a GM fan at all nor did I care for the looks of the HHR. And if you had an HHR Im sure you know of the issues with the suspension and the clunks. I didnt have a ton of issues with mine minus the 55-65 mph shimmy!!!! They are having many recalls now, with serious parts. Get out of the car if you can afford to, even if its not a Honda. I was averaging 27-30mpg maybe 33 on strict highway only on my hhr. I'm getting 37-38 mpg with a little over 1000 miles now total on my fit and that is with me not driving totally conservative and on mixed roads. Im looking forward to going out of town soon to see what I get. Another thing over the HHR is the cost to fill up(I know its a smaller tank but feels better on the pocket with a 10 gallon fill). The HHR can haul a lot of stuff too but honestly in my opinion the fit has a lot of space and the magic seat fold up trick is very nice. The 2 shelve thing in the hhr was nice though. If you do get the Fit you will feel like you have double the windscreen. The first time I drove the Fit I felt like I was in an IMAX Theater compared to the HHR!
Good Luck with whatever you do.

As for your previous statement: "People who have already placed deposits/orders for a 2015 Fit....why?

"

Its not why, its why not!
Have bought a previous '07 FJ Cruiser when it was first released in '06. That JDM, as with all those I have owned, never gave me issues. Never had to rely on dealer service to further rape my funds.
The few of us (approx. 70,000 - thats the projected deliveries in NA for 2015), are most probably risk takers. We could be stupid in your eyes but history shows that its risk-takers are those who make our world grow. Willing to explore whats never been explored, willing to think whats never been thought, etc............. in other words, no fear to try anything new!
There may be consequences but its only through the actual trial that true reactions and definitive facts can be gathered and gauged.
In your case, one cup holder less, is a deal breaker. In my case, the thrill alone, of obtaining a new car at an affordable price point, in addition to the, increased hp, new look, increased MPG and abundant new standard features at only $100 more than previous model's MSRP, is a total deal MAKER.
Yeah, I'll miss that extra cup holder too. At my advancing age, its one less place for me to expend the fluids my bladder can't hold!!!
Have a cheap simple solution though. Since the rear seat have been increased, it will inventory an ample supply of empty PET pop bottles to store the fluids.

I'm looking at trading in a 2012 F150 that I've put 59000 miles on since I bought it new. Just gave it its third full fuel supper since Monday tonight. 36 gallon tank.

I feel your frustration, but count yourself lucky that you can own more than 1 car. I can only afford 1 so it had better be a good one. The Fit is my first choice if I had to buy now but I'd love to save for a 2015 WRX. I'd like to drive one first and see if it can be a DD and also if it's possible to get mileage in the mid 20's without trying too hard. Both cars are hard to find unfortunately.

I was being sarcastic about the cupholder.

Not sure if you are too, sarcasm doesn't come across well on the net, mike got it but he is sarcastic too so... lol

Everything else I stand by.

Using bodily fluids as an example??? Its gotta be sarcastic!!!

BUT the "WHY NOT?" retort and "risk taking"? Not only do I stand by these statements, but actually did something about it - GK LX on order and should arrive at the latest, by July/Aug. Time will tell who of us will garner the final bragging rights.

Exactly, brother.
If you search back to when the GE8 was being released (and ALL the associated "bash" threads) this new influx is worse... it was comical at first but it's a bit stale & redundant especially since most of these naysayers haven't even seen it let alone driven it. Brand spanking new members and their first post is a bash thread?
They should really institute a 100 post rule before starting a thread. Any serious problem (coil packs, valve adjustments, etc, etc) already has several threads of each issue... a quick search (or post in that respective thread(s)) can solve most issues.

You remember a few years ago the influx of "oh no my Fit only gets 25mpg, Honda lied, I'm getting rid of my Fit due to the mpg's" and all those "noob" started threads?
Coincidence that it was about the same time that Hyundai was gonna get fuxored on they're mpg claims, and also that 1 lady with the Civic Hybrid?
Coincidence??? I think not.
Social media can be very influential.
Some had mentioned that they wouldn't be surprised that all those "noob members/posters/thread starters" were employees of rival car manufacturers... I'm totally not a "conspiracy theorist" nor do I subscribe to that sht... but I wouldn't be surprised especially after the stuff I hear from a friend who's in social media advertising.

Is it the best car in the world.... No. Is it better than the competition? Compare what's best for your need(s), and decide that for yourself.
The Fit isn't for everyone.

Did they put back "refresh mode" for the USDM GK?? Some pics I saw it appears to be back? Is it?
I'd be more pissed we missed it on the USDM GE8... lolol.

If your ever in north central PA I will have to take you for a ride in my Corvette, you might rethink that.
