Sweet looking ride, can't wait to get mine. Just got news this last weekend that the tentative delivery date is Nov 3 to Nov 8 and got my VIN# finally

 

Got the VIN for my EX CVT Fit already, and the dealer said the car should arrive before this weekend. It was quicker that I thought I would wait (ordered it on Sept 19).

 

I ordered mine sept 19 as well, still no vin. I've asked my dealer twice for it. He just ignores my emails. At this point I'm feeling pretty underwhelmed, and pretty much ignored. I ordered over 1.5k in accessories and asked him for a price confirmation breakdown and a week later nothing.

Another dealer in town mailed me and has the same car coming in two weeks earlier. If I hadn't had him order in the accessories I would jump ship already... Consider yourself lucky boys. :/

 

I'm not sure about the added accessories, if they're pre-installed at the factory that may be the case of having to wait longer.

Also I've heard the waiting time is longer if you ordered 'non-popular' colours (like yellow) as well as if you ordered with 6MT instead of CVT, or the DX trim specifically. I've heard that if you want it quick, order either LX or EX in popular colours like grey, black or white, and with CVT, as they might have been built already by the time you ordered, they just needed to ship the car to the dealer.

The whole delivery thing is also little bit trivial. So unless the status of the car is already "in transit", the dealer won't know the ETA & whereabouts. I just got the VIN last week, a week before estimated arrival date.

Wanna save around $750?? here's a suggestion:

Compare retail pricing of accessories between Canadian and US Gk's. For some reason, Honda Canada has decided to upsell the Canadian market by almost double.

If you're close to our border crossing, it may serve you well to order the same accessories from a reputable US Honda Dealer who offers good discounts. (e.g. Bernardi - a FF site sponsor).

Lotsa of guys here, who get their new GK's are also being charged retail for OEM accessories by their selling dealers, but when shown prices available from Bernardi, some of them "match". Local dealers on the island have no pity. You either buy at their prices or walk. All my OEM accessories were sourced from the mainland!!!!

Edmonton here. Heard from the dealer 3 days ago that my preorder is in. Unfortunately I bought a Mazda 3 Sport 2 weeks ago because I couldn't wait anymore with the winter weather coming. Kind of regretted I didn't wait, but even 3 weeks ago when I asked them they couldn't give me any ETA. I will miss the Fit, but I'm happy with the Mazda given the deal I got and its fun to drive quotient!

Also props to the Honda dealer I worked with, Sherwood Honda. When I told them I had to shop around, they didn't give me a hard time, but promptly refunded my deposit and said they understand. They promised to still let me know when the car is in, and true to their word the sales manager called me at 8 PM to say that the delivery truck with my Fit came in earlier. Made me regret not buying from them but you never know...

Good luck with your wait. It sounds like many cities are getting their shipments in so it shouldn't be long

My Fit arrived today at the dealership, about 5+ weeks from the date I ordered it.

I think yours is still within the normal timeframe for delivery. I was told that if you ordered 6MT you may need to wait a little longer (up to 8 weeks).

 

Can any of you Canadian Navigation owners let me know if you are able to get traffic working? I made a post about this that got moved and as a result I haven't received any feedback.

Basically, no traffic information is showing up for me within Canada - though weirdly I can see traffic for several hundred kilometers into the United States.
