I would say studded tires are better though that's just my opinion. You can get 16 inches or downsize to 15 for cheaper tires

Check out the other pages on this forum for what others have posted as problems. So far looks like the Canadian cars are better quality controlled and problems have not been occuring anymore

I will post a picture later but the only problem I have is the excess lube they put around my moon roof. Not sure if other ppl have this problem too.

I put General Altimax Arctic, downsizing to 15" (195/60 R15), with alloy rims 6.5 x 15, +38 offset. I'll post a pic when I get a chance.
(UPDATE: picture added)

I live in the urban area, so I don't think I'd ever need studs.

Seems my traffic info does not work at all. Mine shows a Red TRF icon. I've checked the honda site for FM traffic coverage, I am definitely in the zone for coverage.

You can check here:

Currently dealer is trying to figure out what's wrong, I'll keep you posted if they give me an answer.

I was going to make a dedicated post but haven't gotten around to it.

Traffic will not work in Canada because the Fit uses HD Radio for traffic information and there are currently no stations in Canada broadcasting in the HD radio format. There is no FM traffic receiver in the Fit so despite what's described in that coverage map, traffic will not work in Canada.

There is no ETA on when (or if) HD radio/traffic will be available in Canada.

The only way to get live traffic information will be to use a stand alone GPS unit that uses FM traffic or by paying Honda to use the iphone application.

Curious, where did you get the information with regards to it using HD radio for traffic? BTW thanks for the update

Angry Late delivery!

I talk to Honda Canada yesterday for their late delivery.
I ordered my car on September 17 and received nothing since.
Delivery date November 10!
Honda do not know when will happen!
For those who order red and yellow delivery may be delayed.

Not easy to have a Honda fit!

I feel your pain. On my delivery date, I was driving to the dealer when I got a call from them to say my car would be delayed another 2 hours because of an issue they were having with rust proofing the vehicle. I got them to throw in two extra accessories for that delay: rear bumper applique and the cargo tray

You're lucky you have a Honda fit.
I have pictures only.
I do not know if I will have gifts for the delay.
Thank you Happy Holiday.

I didn't know they were so hard to come by. I walked in to a dealer last Friday and made the purchase and I pick it up today. It seems like they had to make a trade with another dealer to get it, but get it they did.

Is it just certain colours, options?

So I picked up my Fit last week, a grey Ex. It's a beauty. Very satisfied all around. Went to the dealership yesterday had bought rims and Michelin xice 3s put on. Also bought the Diamond kote undercoating last week so they put it on yesterday. It actually does provide a very nice sound barrier.

Funny story tho, when buying my fit back in sept when they first got one on the lot I took a picture of the price tag. When my paperwork was ready to sign I double checked the pic to make sure. And the price was off by $5. So I asked the salesman about it and he didn't know they had gone up. So he called in the finance guy who didn't know about it either. So my salesman starts writing up new forms to sign so I can have my 5 bucks and the finance guy walks out to the lot to check his other fits. Then he goes into his office and makes a call. Sure enough honda raised the price but didn't tell them. So the finance guy says for telling us and your 5 bucks I'll throw in interior protection ($200) for free for letting us know. So they applied that yesterday as well. So far I'm happy with the way Hondas treated me. Now to go install my weathertech matts and led light bulbs. Wish me luck lol, I have no idea what I'm doing
