Still waiting for mine...

-Ordered Oct 9th
-Got VIN# Oct 18th, given a rough ETA of Oct 30th-Nov 5th ("though it could be a little before that or after that")
-I emailed them Nov 15th for an update, was told that it could come in any day now.
-Got a call Nov 19th saying that because of the snowpocalyse in the US, that it will take another 1-2 weeks to get into Canada, and then another 1-2 weeks to get to the dealership here in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Was told that other colors in the LX were available on the lot for sale, in case I had a backup color that I would be ok with. But I have my heart set on the White Pearl so I gotta be patient.

-Already bought winter tires, and summer wheels to replace the steel ones when the weather gets nice again (I really don't like the hub caps on the LX, or the look of the bare steelies unless it was winter).

If anyone is interested, these were the rims I got for the non-winter (because sometimes summer is so short, it's not worth calling it summer...).
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...nt&showRear=no

IMO, those were the closest looking ones to the EX+ OEM rims in a 15" size.

Nice rims! ...and +43 offset will make them look even better (extend out 1 cm) than the stock EX/EX-L.

Dumb question guys. I just looked at pics of my tires. The car came with 185/55 R16. The winter tires I bought are Michelin xice's 185/60 r15.

Is this normal for a dealer to not put the same size tire as before on your car?
Really appreciate your opinions guys.

185/60 R15 is the size for DX & LX, and for winter tires it's better to go for higher profile tires for better grip in snow (and also 15-inches are cheaper), so it's normal. But you will just need to get a set of 15" rims for your winter tires.

I opted for 195/60 R15 (instead of 185/60 R15) for the winter tires because these tires are closer in diameter to the stock EX/EX-L's 185/55 R16 than the LX's 185/60 R15, so it won't affect speedometer too much. But 185/60 R15 will work just as fine, especially with steel rims.

Picked mine up yesterday. Never test drove the car, so first drive impressions are positive. I put 19 km on the car and it's got double the mileage compared to my other! haha.

LX CVT (boo family car). Needs lowering and some wheels when spring hits!

Time for another dumb question. I imported some wallpapers, "set" one. But I can't figure out for the life of me where and when your supposed to see it?
Anyone have any ideas? I've hit home and back as far as I can. Not sure when the wallpaper actually makes an appearance?

Just select "info" from your main/home page & you'll see your wallpaper.

Hi folks. Just ordered a 2015 Fit LX in red last week. ETA first week of January.

Just wondering how some of you did negotiating the price of the Fit? I managed to "only" talk down the price by $300. I know the Fit is literally a few months old so demand should be pretty healthy, but its not like I've bought cars much so I'm curious how I did compared to others.

Also, anyone get the interior illumination kit for their Fit? I've only seen it in brochure photos but for some reason I'm really drawn to it.

Thanks!

Saw a couple posts asking about canadian retail prices.

I used Best New Car Prices in Canada. Free Dealer Invoice Price. | Unhaggle

I didn't actually pay for their service, but if you pop into the deals section you can find the fit offered with a 'save $XXX' in the corner. I just took that savings off of MSRP and went to the dealer with a firm offer.

Thought some might make use of it for savings. Seemed like an easy way to get a ballpart for reasonable offer.

Hope it helps get more in the Fit

Thanks for the link. The prices they quote include sales tax?

Honda build site is MSRP of 22,100 w/o sales tax and 25,000 with tax for an EX-CVT
All In shows MSRP of 25,000 and an All-In of 24,300.

The EX-CVT shows in their deals section as $724 savings.

On Honda.ca for Ontario the MSRP for the EX CVT is $20,495. I would offer 19,770. The rest is really the government and non-negotiables.

This was my strategy with my LX and it worked out after 3 counter offers from the dealer. I think they got 2.1% over invoice from me. I just stayed strong and said I was leaving. Then the deal fell on the table. Imagine that.

To answer then, the 'all in' prices in the deals section include tax, but the savings is off the MSRP before tax. If you punch the savings into the finance calculator on Honda.ca as a downpayment, the monthly prices should match up.

Thanks for clarifying Scotty. I am thinking 24,300 should get me one. We will see next Spring or Summer. I am still in love with my 09. It runs like new. If my daughters 05 Civic SI packs it in I may buy a new Fit and give her mine.
