#121
Thought I would start a thread for new 15 FIT owners to list what accessories or mods they have added since taking delivery during their first month or so...
So far I have added the following to my EXL-
XM Roadie- easy install, sounds great!
35% window tint all windows except front
XPEL clear bra paint protection on front bumper,
fenders, full hood, headlights, both mirrors
Honda OEM sunroof tinted visor
Honda OEM rear cargo mat
Honda OEM wheel locks
Heat shield front w/s shade.
Future add ons- Weathertec digital floor liners
Clear paint protection on rear bumper cargo area.

I got (from the dealer, so is that OEM, I have no idea what that means):
--window tint (not too dark, because I've never had it and change is bad )
--Polysteel treatment inside and out
--side guard trim thingies (which, as noted in other threads might be too low to stop door dings, but they look nice)
--door edge trim
--soon to be Mr. fit2tri made some bike fork mounts out of PVC pipe so we can arrange the bikes however is best depending on how much other gear we are carrying (and because the interior bike rack from my Xterra is too big)

No, no window vents, just not a fan of them at allow the black rear bumper protector..personal tastes. this pretty much does it for me, so the money spent on mods is plenty for my commuter..lol! At the end of the day it's still a FIT my AEV Jeep Wrangler Unlimited comes first in the mod area lol!

What bulbs did you buy?
How did you pull apart the front dome light? I tried and the plastic looked like it was about to snap in half so I stopped.
- Window tint
- Plastidipped all the entry/exit exposed paint to prevent scuffing

Did the kit come with all the lights (Dome, map, cargo) or do I need to buy 3 separate ones? College hill only shows the map.

As for sourcing the LED bulbs, the same things are available from Ebay (either locally sourced or from overseas). Prices are way cheaper than the video suggests and many many various styles.
Happy shopping to all!!!! Keep posting those add-ons!!!!
Two types are in most current JDM interior lights:
- T10 (wedge type)- simple to plug and unplug. From my experimenting to-date, am fond of the flat LED Strips. The light although just as bright or brighter is much softer.
- Festoon 31mm - simple plug and unplug. Again tons to choose from

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the advantage of replacing interior lights with LEDs? I'll just assume the stock comes with incandescent bulbs which would burn out quicker. The LEDs would use less power but does that matter? Are they brighter?
#130
Brighter yes! Saves your battery as well if you accidentally leave the lights on due to its low power draw.
#131
Much much brighter, less energy to power.

Much thanks for the thread link. I'm just reading page two. Google translate says the language is Portuguese.
Agora, para encontrar algumas modificações potência.

A very informative thread. The pics say it all. The South American GK owners are pretty fast in sourcing available GK mods.
Won't be long and more will appear from Far East sources.
Thanks for this great share. Keep 'em comin!!!!

If you replace all the bulbs with LED its about 1HP worth of savings (draw from your batter and electrical system). I like it, replaced the interior and the rear lights. I am just waiting for the funds to replace the headlights (leaving the daytime driving lights stock as the bulbs).

Pics put everything into perspective. Think yours is the first GK Cargo cover posted. Way to go!!!

Thanks, Rottboy. The wait must be excruciating at this point, but you can live vicariously through us It won't be much longer!
The cargo cover will give me the privacy I want, and it's well made. Feels sturdy enough for the purpose it will serve. I would not recommend stacking things on top of it, though. It is not designed for that.
I do have a tip for anyone that hasn't installed one yet - spray the two clips with some WD-40, then place a soft towel over the clip and use a flat blade, like a putty knife to push the clips onto the frame. It will lessen the chance of scratching the paint, and it just makes the process in general much easier. The clips are very tight, and I could not get them to snap on without that process.
I can't wait until we get some more PBP owners showing up!
It stopped raining long enough for me to put the all weather mats in. I think that they look much better than the carpet mats. I'll take photos tomorrow, as it's too dark now.

Cargo covers of that style are nice, much better than the pull-out style IMO. Plus on a car trip the back seat passengers can use it as a shelf (for very lightweight things.) I'm sure it's not recommended but it works I thought I'd need the cargo cover but my tint is pretty dark back there so I think I'm skipping it.
The purple is really classy looking. I'm not a purple person but it looks so nice I'm trying to get my sister to buy one!!! Congrats on it!
