Nice choice!
Did they tint the little front windows too?
Yeah, it's the 70%. When you look at it from a front angle, you can see the difference between windshield and door windows. It's slight, but still there. The ceramic coating will help a ton in the California heat. It reflects the heat really well. Next is to get the Sunroof tinted because I completely forgot I had one when I called to get the tint.
You probably did the right thing. I did a Llumar Ceramic 40 on the fronts (15 on back like you) and got stopped by CHP and cited for tint on the 405 one time a few years ago and not again.
When the cop stopped me I had the cruise set at exactly the speed limit so when he approached my window I exclaimed, "What's going on?"
He said, "when you past me those windows look pretty dark."
(The tint shop owner said when he did the 40 on the fronts that he has never heard of anyone getting stopped for a 40 on the front and recommended a max 30 on the fronts. I went with 40 to safe. )
I put the 70% on the front windows, lol I worded the post confusingly. But yeah, that's what I wanted to avoid. I know I could have gotten away with maybeee 50 on the front windows. But I would rather be safe than risk any issues while my kid or family is in the car.
ARP main, rod, and head studs going to clamp it down tight... Traum 12.5:1 pistons with oversize valve recesses
Now to get all the timing chain and cover hardware back together and take to the shop for long block assembly and cam dial in...
It smells power !
Are those cylinder sleeve stock ? Looks pretty strong !
Excited to see the whole engine ! And for sure how much power and torque this beast can produce !

no, golden eagle sleeved it and punched it out from 73 to 75mm. Hello 1.6L Fit!!!
Hey peeps fabricated two block off plates using the modded EGR spacer (as named on the honda parts pages) Z06FIT sent me as a mold...
These are rough cuts used for fitment... They worked likea charm... Obviously the low flow egr code came up but it was disabled through the KTuner, it feels running more loosely and more responsive... No dyno tune yet... Updates as soon as I can dyno it!
Rear sway bar install and reworked my RS spoiler to fit flush on the trunk. My buddy and I did a better job than the shop Progress RSB installed. Took OEM spoiler light harness and wried it to the RS. Then drilled out a center hole for the harness to sit in, that made the OEM bolt holes line up, and finished with double sided tape to secure and seal. Now it sits flush, pretty, and strong.
@ 107,xxx miles, was overdue to replace the PCV valve. I didn't know the recommended interval for replacing was evey 30K miles! Look at the difference between the old and new. Any ways, the job gave me the opportunity to use new fittings and hoses. Looks clean now.

Oh damn I didn't know it was threaded but that makes sense lol. Was it easy to spin off? Did you just break it loose with pliers and then spin the rest off by hand?
As far as I can tell it's hanging from the side motor mounts now. Tomorrow I will build a skateboard to set it on and lift the car above the engine. Hold my beer...

finally coming together, good luck on the engine swap!
All it took was a harbor freight special and a 12" 2x2. Time to clean the engine bay It did hang up a bit on the differential where it is above the front member But the wheels worked out great!
Installation is the reverse of the removal aka step 2 lol
