very cool USDM! on my vw's i use this thing called dogbone inserts which basically removes the play within the engine/tranny mount. it is a night/day difference and a joy to drive.

I opted for the U70A urethane. The cabin does experience an increase in NVH, but that's to be expected.

The increase in NVH is most noticeable while idling with the A/C on and during initial take off. Besides that, it's not very noticeable at all.
NVH - noise, vibration, and heat?

Close, but no cigar. Noise, vibration, and harshness.

The feedback I received while changing gears was a big issue for me. Gear changes felt really sloppy and numb prior to the Hasport rear motor mount. With the new mount, gear changes are very crisp and direct.

In my opinion, the last piece of the puzzle would be the Acuity Instruments adjustable short shifter if they make one for the GK5 in the future.

I did the first oil change, at a little under 6000 km, and a little over a year. We bought it (2017) a couple weeks ago, and I dived into these forums. I'm thankful for that. I got the plastic cover off, and back on pretty well. The oil was surprisingly dirty for so little mileage. Maybe break-in oil is always like that. I didn't change the filter, as I don't have a proper wrench. Seeing the color of that oil, I wish I had. Valvoline 0w 20.

Thanks. I never think to check youtube. I did think about driving a screwdriver through it, but I'm not 100% sure I have the correct replacement. I bought a $4 wrench this morning. It's been nearly 20 years since I changed my own oil, so I was just a little bit scattered with the process.

I use either that or the metal strap type.

Got a pic of your roof rack? I'm leaning towards Yakima as well.

Nice. I see you got the Roundbars. Mad wind noise? I'm leaning towards the Jetstream or Corebars.

Good tires. This year I have Blizzaks in the shed waiting for me. I like to wait till the last minute to put them on. : )
