Mine are at about 4/32" with 29,945 miles on them. I'll have to replace them before the car is inspected in November. I have a set of four Yokohama Avids, on wheels, sitting in the shed - waiting.

My son got 29,462 out of his originals. We've used the Michelin Premiere, but now we have Yokohama Avids. We've used them before.

Looks nice, but not a single comment about improved performance. Why bother?

The fit is my commuter car so I'll see what kind of numbers are achieved on my normal commute. The idea of ram air is sound but we'll see what kind of real world returns are there. It's not like I'm driving 100 MPH consistently to really make use of it

If there aren't any real world returns, it's not like I haven't spent money on things that sounds or look cool for the sake of it. The K&N filter for example really didn't do anything perceptible but it was on sale and after replacing 2 regular filters it will pay for itself. The HKS exhaust was just for sound but it's something I'd do again without hesitation because it increases the driving experience.

That's a nice piece, but I do wonder what kind of gains if any one will see. One thing I do see is if you happen to find your way into high water that thing will help you hydro-lock your engine. I know no one ever gets in high water.

Got new tires. Back to stock size, old ones were 205/55-r15. Picked up a couple of nails near the sidewall on my old set and kinda bummed that I'm going back to stock size

If you look, the stock intake actually is lower than this ram intake scoop. Plus the actual air box is lower as well. If you're in water higher than the air box, you've got more things to worry about.

Wife asked for a grocery run and I took the fit. It's a short drive but I could tell the throttle response was better.

awesome! Let me know your results in mid-high speed / spirited drives.. not sure how it would feel in the cvt.. but thru a 6MT, the notice of improved throttle response, esp midrange I s there

Not long at all! Maybe 30 minutes, and most of that was spent (very nervously) removing the plastic cover from the hatch. I used these instructions. Basically the same for the GK5.
