Attempted to align the gas cap on mine. It was crooked and it bothered me. Got it close and better than it was but not perfect. There is just too much play in the door.

Also installed the Weathertech front mats. Lov'em.

Road Trip!

We (I) drove our 2015 Fit (new in August '14, currently with about 9,000 logged miles) from Atlanta to Rochester NY and back, a round trip of about 1,900 miles. We were not sure of the comfort in driving such a distance, but Loki-chan was very comfortable, and performed without a hitch. I must admit that at 5'10.5", I pretty well max out my driver space. I have successfully found a long-term posture for my accelerator foot (by flexing the knee) and appreciate slightly more frequent stops than gas re-fills require, but all-in-all, we are definitely ready for long trips in the near future.

Did encounter one performance feature when ascending our first major incline in West Virginia when it sounded like I was flying a 2-wing crop duster: forgot to turn off the cruise control!

Made my own custom air intake. Removed the bottom box and the long pointless hose and box in the fender well. Very simple 2.5" silicone 90 degree hose had to cut a hole in the hose for the attachment. It sounds a little more throaty under acceleration and hoping for a little better mpg's. No cel so far after two days!

Nice! I think most cars will be free of CEL as long as the MAF is intact. However, direct injection might be slightly trickier. Fingers crossed.

Does the "pointless hose" generates more cold air previously? Or is it just a resonator to keep the sound decibel lower? I haven't gotten a good look at my engine bay.

CEL = Check Engine Light. Or did you write that out of sarcasm? If so, then I apologize for my n00b response.

This looks great! Where did you buy the Mugen front lip? Do you have a thread for your setup? I'd love to check it out. Thanks!

The lip came from a local seller here in Manila. No build thread yet, will do this soon.

Then I took a joy ride to the beach for lunch!

Can I ask what tint and % that is? I know cost varries, but what did you pay? I am also sporting a red fit and this looks great!

Thanks. I've been asked that before but unfortunately don't know. It's what the dealer gave me so I assume it's the Florida max tint. Since it's even all around maybe 25%?

Installed NEW KYB Lowfer Sports suspension kit

Today I got my 3 month old Tien H Tech Spring removed and new KYB Lowfer Sports Suspension kit installed.
Reason for this, is because I want to lower the car by just a little and also to get better handling and control.
The Tein H Tech Spring does the job, but it makes the already bumpy rear end even more bumpy.
So, I ordered a set of new KYB suspension from Japan.
Part number: LKIT-GK5RS
It is made for JDM FIT RS, but it fit nicely and feel much more comfortable compare with Tein Spring.
For more info please see PDF link from KYB (Japanese only)http://www.kybclub.com/Release/news1..._Low_fitrs.pdf

Rear end with new suspension.

Thanks for reading.
Almost forgot to share a little tip for this KYB suspension kit. I was recommended by another user to add some spring silencer. Because the rear springs do make some noise when larger movement occur (Up and Down).
So this is what I did. Bought some 10mm vinyl tubing from hardware store, and cut them like this then fitted on the rear springs. Just for the area I did in photo below.

I spent all day detailing the interior. ..Worth it with my new Fit! I am just a little obsessed with cleaning all the little nooks and crannies in the door jambs and under the hood and hatch. When I get a new car I love to go thru and get all the little things cleaned and polished so it looks the best it can be. I like to treat all the rubber seals and trim because here in Florida the sun will bake and age even a new car in just a few years. I use a little trim brush to get the protectant in hard to reach spots. Just open the doors all day keep it aired out when you use the Scotch guard. ...

Hopefully more often

While morning shadows lasted in the car port this morning (preface to a Hot Day in Georgia), got in a two-bucket hand-wash with all the "right stuff". Loki-chan is looking good, and I'm feeling a little bit less like a slacker.

Adjusted my headlights up and it made a huge difference on dark two lane roads. No one flashed me too so I did not go too high.
