Interesting look. ..I PlastiDipped the fake red "reflectors" (for lack of a better word) on mine a bit back, totally pleased with the look ...what you did would look great on mine (black Fit), but, seems you've covered the sidemarker light/reflector on the side of the taillight? I try to keep things "street legal," beings as I already, ahem, drive too quickly quite often ...but these mountains and back country twisties are oh so inviting I like the look, just dunno if I'd go that far with mine

 

thank you i appreciate the kind words.yes i did paint over the light. imho its really useless.that light is inside the plastic housing.all the other reflectors are just there for show and serve no purpose.i wish honda would make use of them like the jdm market does.also as long as you are not covering a necessary light,you should be good.

 

swapped out my philips x-treme vision bulbs and going to give the racing vision's a try

 

Dunno where you're located, but where I am, in TN, USA, we have to have side marker reflectors and side marker lights on both front and rear ot the car. Yours is a cool idea, but you covered the side light and reflector....love the look, though

Just to chime in again, this plastidipping of his car is the first I've noticed, Interesting, but... Would not be legal here, must've missed the stuff that got folks riled up. I certainly don't consider it a "mod," but pladtidipping the fake hatch reflectors iwas well worth the cost of the can, prep time, spray time, and reinstall....so, no, not a mod,,,,this ain't a mod subforum, so....guess I missed some history with this poster, dunno

 

Agreed ... "interesting look", but a bad idea, at least where I live.... I still don't get the fake reflectors on the hatch ....they're not lights, they don't reflect, guess it's just to establish "brand identity" with the CRV, which is silly. I mean, why didn't Honda put them on the HRV? A true waste of red plastic Well worth the cost of the rattle-can and my wife didn't care. She wasn't fond of the $$$ spent on the Tanabe Medallion Touring (whatever they call it) axleback nor the Progress RSB....she doesn't totally know about the ramair thang I got from TougeMonster...Life is crazy ...I get my car to where I'm happy with it, my wife bought me a sweet Fender Thinline Tele for my 60th birthday (feel no need for any more guits, got y bases well covered), and I end up spending 5 days in the hospital with heart trouble - A-fib, and assorted shit....I just wanna retire and enjoy life, but, dunno when that's gonna happen, dagnabbit

 

Hahaha mods have been busy this morning with all the back and forth ...

PIAA sent me warranty replacements for the Xtreme White Plus bulbs that failed before a year of ownership. Deciding if I'll put them in or sell them off to fund some LED replacements. I'm leaning on going LED...
