Sorry, I made a mistake on brand. I meant Volk.15x5.5 CE28N weighs only 7.72 lbs (3.5 kg). This would be perfect for 185/60R15 tyres.

Wow, those Volk wheels are crazy pricey!

I've been eyeing up these wheels from TireRack...only 12 lbs per wheel.
Not as high performance as the Volk's, but better than stock

The 15 inch heliums on the 1inch drop win my vote. Fucking sexy.

Mounted up some new tires, BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S. Supposed to have as much dry grip as the summer compound Sport Comp 2 I had last time, but way better in the wet. Haven't tried to push it yet, but so far I believe the dry grip claim.

Five more sets of tires and my balancer has paid for itself. But if anyone else mounts their own tires, these are probably the stiffest sidewalls I've ever dealt with. Wouldn't want to try it on shorter than a 50 series.

Mounted a pair of kicker ksc650 on the front and a pair of Rockford Fosgate R1675X2 on the rear....got ahold of a Taramps TL-1500 and did this....
Since it is SO SMALL I was able to tuck it between two steel brackets behind the dash... it doesn't interfere with the airbag nor the glove box... and it is WAY easier to pass the cables behind the radio HU....
Added a 12" pioneer (dont know the model)...just to have a little more of base. ... and since the TL-1500 is like "self set" or pre-configured......there is no hassle....

Im happy with the result

Congrats on the setup! I'm in the process of designing a similar setup in my Fit as well.

I have a few questions:
-does the stock HU have RCA outputs? as I see you are not using the "line inputs"
-How are you able to power 5 speakers with a 3 channel amp? I thought each channel goes to each speaker....or is this not the case?

thanks in advance

Yes, i have an aftermarket HU... an android 10" (yes i know its not the BEST HU, but it was cheap... that's why im using the RCA

Well with this particular amplifier that has 3 channels, you connect front and rear left, to the left amp channel and the front and rear right. To the amp's right channel
.. the subwoofer has its own channel and that amp comes configured to send the output needed....
Plus, the subwoofer channnel has a dial to up or down the bass db from 0 to 10...

If you manage to get 2 of these amps..... you can wire one for the front and one for the rear and install 2 subs instead of one....

For the price aand size its a really stealthy setup, and the sound its great....

I got by last year without them. Maybe this year, too - hopefully. We have Blizzaks on one Fit and Michelin Ice on the other.

In prep for the nor'easter got the snow tires on. I bought these steel rims last year. Dunlop Wintermaxx W01/W02 in OEM 185/55-R16 size. Two alloy rims in the rear with winter tires. Not that I drive in the snow too often, but good to have them if needed. Learned my lesson last year, 4 snow tires instead of two is a necessity. Otherwise you'll be fishtailing and spinning out much easier!

Our forecast is for three days of flurries. So far, so good. It's sticking to the grass, but that's all.

Nice. My Rhino Rack is assembled, but not yet fitted to my Fit.
