easy install on the clutch. Did not change pilot bearing, will be less than 1,000 miles before i swap engines.
the diff did not come with bearings even though I paid $50 extra for "bearing" option. I don't want to use the old carrier bearings, prefer new so now I wait and i leave for vacation Friday so that's it see you in mid September...
also, the weight difference is 5.3 lbs less for clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel...
nice! What clutch kit did you go with? Also did you install an LSD?
Clutchmasters stage 4 clutch, mfactory 1.5 way LSD first impressions
if you're following along, I had a time with my transmission. I forgot to pull my speed sensor which made it impossible to remove the cover. I chose to buy carrier bearings, got interrupted with vacation and then i assembled the tranny twice because i had a synchro ring out of place and the 5 6 fork wouldn't move. Fixed it but somehow once installed it came off basically. After I reassembled the tranny felt like shit everywhere except neutral. I was hoping oil would fix it and it did. The clutch makes the car feel like a go cart, lightning quick shifts. Unfortunately, the tranny is only gears 1 thru 4 now. I'll order a rebuild kit for when I pull the engine but I think I'm going to pass on VIR I don't wanna drive six hours in 4th gear each way... the LSD makes it tough to steer in parking lots. The clutch feels like you'd get sick of it in stop and go for sure. The lightened flywheel is a blistering rev to 4500, that's nice! While I was in there... I ported the shit out of my throttle body. I only drove her like three miles or less but the idle was rough in neutral. Could be the flywheel. They said it would throw a code and I'd need to fix it in my tune so that's something to look forward to. Could be the throttle body if I've gone too far. The LSD make it feel like a completely different car, and not all in a good way. It feels like it's going to be awesome once I learn to trust it. I need to drive it more... it was more obvious that I don't have a front sway bar, like it hasn't felt like that since I took it off, that much of a difference. For a shakedown run after all those changes, it wasn't bad. I probably need to just drive it for 30 minutes in stop and go let the computer relearn stuff... i still have the short throw shifter and heavy knob to install. Then we wait, for block, head, and cams to return.
Nothing important, just checked to make sure my full moon wheelcovers are on tight...seems as though the right front wheel is slightly out of spec or something, have randomly lost 4 covers (2 of the full moons) over the past couple years from the same wheel (obviously on the rear a couple times, but same wheel), had to order another set, which gives me two spares ... have always loved the look since I was kid

I put a 12oz, tall shifter on top of a buddy club short throw CR-Z setup, with the acuity titanium interface. Install was easy. The shifts are pretty nice. It is weird on reverse but it just takes a day and you're used to it being further to the right.
my rough idle is probably the excessive throttle body porting. I got pretty close to the butterfly but maybe I let some air slip by. I have a spare unmolested TB and I'll swap and see.
i finally to a couple corners. That LSD is going to save me several seconds on every track. Just going down the street though, the car still feels loose. I'll put her up on the lift and retorque everything before I track her.
here's a startup video showing the rev up...
. Got them from a company on Amazon, search full moon wheel covers 15” ....there are better ones that screw on, guess you have to have tabs welded to your wheels....these work and look great, I can deal with tapping on them every few days to ensure a snug fit, although, as previously stated, I believe it’s related to that one wheel, for whatever reason

Yours looks better....your covers won't accidentally come off, you have the rear wing, and to me, the car looks awesome in white. Only reason I chose my black LX was that it was the only manual on the lot, and the manual trans took precedence over the color. Black cars look dirty too quickly. Yours is super sharp

Just got my 28k mile Fit less than a week ago. Today I changed the pcv valve(did the pcv yesterday actually), oil and filter, and the transmission fluid.
Today I had to reattach the little weatherstripping on the door around where it hits the latch ....was still attached, just the part that went immediately around it and down needed re"glueing" ... no big t'hing, and now I have a tube, albeit small, of 3m weatherstrip adhesive that'll probable harden before I find another use Such is life
Nothing major, cleaned, yesterday, and re-oiled/re-installed today the K&N filters. Have used them on different cars over the years, never any problem with "over oiling" or anything setting off codes. I like 'em
