Got my 2016 Fit EX used. The plastic steering wheel suffers from wear associated with the overuse of The Club. Got a used one from an HR-V that is leather so I swapped it into my Fit. I ended up moving almost all the hardware/wiring over since my buttons were in better condition and I needed to swap over the plastic parts, as I have a 6MT and the HR-V one has paddle shifters. I kept the black front fascia from the HR-V as it looks better than the stock silver (to me).
I also installed a 2” EcoHitch for my bike rack. If I leave the bike rack on the car full time, I’ll have to consider raising the rear to accommodate the weight of the hitch and bikes (up to 4). Looking for 2010-2014 Insight springs as I’ve read that they fit and raises the rear.
bought a CarPlay screen for CDN 89$ from Amazon. Has a built in dash cam and came with 64 GB microSD card. It’s powered by USB C to lighter cable.
honestly blown away with how well it works for the price. The only downside is that the dash is curved down at that spot so the dash cam is 50% dash 50% street lol. Can’t be bothered to try and fix that. Good enough for me, I bought it for Waze and it works great. Podofo brand.
New guy here. Managed to fix up my long waited EDFC Active Pro. I must say, it's one really a joy to be able to adjust the coil over on fly while driving or tracking....
My brother gave me the shift knob off his S2K. Had to make an adapter to keep the shift boot up. Of course, after all that work of making it, I see they’re available everywhere for $12.
I washed, clay barred, and waxed my car on Friday—looks great, but it was hours of work and I don’t recommend it. I graduated from college yesterday
Today I installed the Powerflex lower engine mount insert for manual transmission. It was quite easy all you need is a torque stick, a 17, and maybe a spare set of hands to just push the motor forward when you reinstall the mount. I’m sure a badass could push the motor with one arm and get the screw to thread in with the other because our engine is very light.
The desired effect was to get rid of the teeter that my GK has coming to a stop from just about any speed. Dips forward and then comes back like a seesaw. This modification did not address that, but it had some other effects.
Vibration can be felt in the seat and footwell—we sit right on top of where it mounts to the subframe. It feels sportier for sure you can tell that the engine is moving around less. What I’m excited for is that with the engine moving less I will have to reach a lot less to find gears when the drivetrain is under load.
May keep it may not.

Very long story short…. I finally had the chance and parts to fix an issue caused by a really shitty job made on a supposedly renowned muffler shop….
The issue:
oem 1 7/8” ID collector was left in place and the 2 1/4” I asked for was welded over the smaller diameter OEM pipe… eventually causing me a couple of problems…. When i noticed it… bought the parts I wanted and wey to a small local muffler shop and got it fixed…
New setup (from header to resonator only):
moded 3 bolt flange to fit the RV6
2 1/2” mandrel “U” bend
2 1/2” VBand
Shitty shitty job notice the difference between gasket and OEM flange…😒🧐🤔
Modded flange mated to the RV6 Soooo much prettier 😎
VBand on the resonator… yes it is a cheap cherry bomb… but it serves MY purpose 🥸
Comparison between the section badly made (bottom, duh) And the new one (top🤓
Been struggling with an almost instant code every time I turned on the GK… a P0302… and after making the diagnosis it all came down to injectors failing…. Probably caused or aggravated by the issue I resolved on an earlier post… the one about the exhaust causing it from the excessively high back pressure…
After researching a bit about injectors… I found out that hose from the GK are the same used on the 1.5t engine from the turbo accord, crv and si civic… so I went ahead and bought a set and installed them today…
pretty easy job… even if you decide to do it leaving the Intake Manifold installed…. I decided to take it off as well since its only 3 bolts and 2 nuts… and a couple of plugs… the difference… a more comfortably larger space to work!😎

anyways… here are some pics…
Glad to know it's an easy job. with the injectors being $240 each, on Rock Auto, I wasn't looking forward to shelling out list and labor if I have to do them at some point.
If your check engine light is on from a bad fuel injectors,
You could have had the fuel Injectors replaced for free at your local Honda Dealer.
That’s the first thing I tried… sadly mine it wasn’t covered by the extended warranty 🫠
BUT… I didn’t pay hundreds of dollars for the set…. 😏 did a rather extensive search and found a seller with a pretty high quantity of sets sold and a pretty decent positive feedback and took the risk….
compared the OEM with the alleged OEM I bought and they seemed pretty alike…. Time will tell…
