I had my eyes on BeatRush's throttle body spacer, and in the spirit of being cheap.... I found something similar, and less expensive:
"savanini" ... for us poor people
it does look pretty
"you get what you pay for" ran through my mind, when attempting to do the install .... they include hardware that is way too long for gk5's. my guess is, its because the tb spacer is also for civics. I'll be re attempting this install in a few days, and after a visit to a local hardware store ... smh
I went with Supertones because I had a set laying around in the garage (originally planned to use on my motorcycle back in my mc-days). I love the sound of the trumpets too.

Were the Supertones a bolt-on or did you have to fab a bracket?
one thing to note is dat the Fit's battery is weak so the tone might change if u hold down the horn too long.. sounds pretty silly when da pitch changes. i installed some air horns off my infiniti on my GE a while back and it sounded great for up to 2 sec, but from dere..

There exists only one bolt/bracket for the OEM horn (which also serves as the ground). I used a bracket with three holes, then mounted each Supertone on either end with a short plate and a bolt and nylon nut. I ran wires from each horn to the same grounded plate, then the horn wire in series to each Supertone. I did not use the included relay for my installation.
As kenchan mentioned, there is a possibility of the pitch changing. I have not had it happen on this set of Supertones, but when I had another set installed on an Odyssey, I held down the horn for over 10 seconds (the other car deserved it). I noticed a pitch-change. It was not permanent, but just something I noticed.

lol, all jokes aside .... I do own a dremel, I just dont know where it is. I'm in the process of moving, and its in 1 of my many moving boxes.... and I'm too lazy to dig for it =\

correct, I found a bunch of others going with the college hills "sport" horns, which comes out to like $30 after s&h. I'm a fan of the Hella brand, and I've never heard of that brand that college hills honda sells (osun), so going with hella for $20 was a no brainer
I was not ready for the sheer size of the hella trumpets, its big enough to hit the radiator and big enough to make rotation of the opening to face downward .... a challenge

once installed, i'll give a review. my prediction is.... it wont make a diff for crap. if anything .... it may move the power band where one area improves, but another area will suffer
(I did it for the engine bay bling, not expecting huge gains)

Herb, mind sharing more pics of the Hella SuperTones install? I happen to have a set laying around .... I'm kicking around the idea of returning the Trumpet's and whipping out my SuperTones (if I can find it in my garage/moving boxes)
I also have a harness/install kit I can use with the SuperTones as well, my only worry about it all is, if the wires are long enough, to reach the battery. As the oem horns are FAR on the passenger side headlight and mounted low, and the oem battery location is FAR on the opposite side near the drivers side fender
For anyone looking to buy these Hella Trumpet Horns, just a word of caution. Although Amazon says it "fits" our Gk5's, the front horn did require some fancy swapping of the bracket, and reverse orientation in order to make the horn not make contact with the radiator. One thing I am nervous about is the opening of the horn may be prone to taking in water .... as there is no way to orient the opening downward (unless the bottom plastic cover is trimmed). This is something I'll be keeping an eye on
Speaking of Vegas, 2 wks ago I got 41 mpg going home. This time around I was able to pull off 42 mpg, and I'm ktuned
Im jealous, I never pass 300mi on a single tank and around 33-34mi combined city and highway,i have 6speed also
if I do all city driving, and romp on the pedal hard (ie while I am IN vegas and roaming about the city), I can easily tank my #s and get into the low 30s as well
[QUOTE=bdcheung;1406200]...what's your driving style like? That sounds ridiculously low.[/QUOT
I live in Florida so the road are flat, and ac is always on
I tend to shift around 3000 and do lots of gear skipping try to keep the rpm low, never push it, basic mods like intake exhaust, lowered and 8in wide wheels
8.2-8.6 gallons untill I hear a nozzle click, the best I got is a little over 300mi with no bar left on the gas gauge. Every fill up calculated to 34.6mpg
get rid of the 8” boat anchors maybe? my Golf-R runs 8” width wheels (19”). ~350hp at da crank awd and 31mpg. and i don’t skip gears. u got serious problems.
evil-lol’ed @ too lazy to find dremel. i can understand.
more pics of the hella trumpets, this time, compared to the oems. as you guys will find out, the hella's are THICK
the oem harness being so short, reallyi makes the install unpleasant. it would appear, its not as plug&play as expected, and may required some fancy custom brackets in order to make it fit and rotate to the proper direction (with the opening of the trumpet, facing downward). at this rate, these may seriously come off and I will just go with the Hella SuperTones instead
