Hi all,

Thanks for the review, we wanted some non-biased fit owners to let people know what they think about the intake. We hope you all enjoy it!

Just to let everyone know, we are working on an axle back at this time. so stay tuned. We will design this to work in conjunction with our SS intake to produce the most power gains.
Dyno charts will be up on the website soon.

Oh, The K&N filter comes pre-oiled from the factory, so no oil is necessary initially. For cleaning and re-oiling we would suggest getting a genuine K&N cleaning kit. You can find these at your local auto parts stores.

Thanks,
H-FIT team

Just thinking out loud:

::Hopefully it WON'T be an N1 style can, I'm starting to lean more towards low profile and subtle these days, instead of "Hey Look at Me!"

Any chance of a B-Pipe down the road? Turns out the resonator on my Fujitsubo Power Getter B-Pipe keeps hitting speed bumps...looking for something w/o a resonator(only one I can think of right now is J's racing in titanium ---> crazy $$$), I don't care if it makes it louder!::

It is interesting that you asked that question about the exhaust. One of the primary design goals of the axle back was to keep it as low key visually as possible. As a matter of fact, the prototype that is on our vehicle currently is completely matte black. We have discussed making a cat back exhaust (B-pipe and axleback) in the future, but have not moved further yet on this project.

Thanks again!

well I recieved email today that intake is shipped. also getting a t-shirt as I am one of the 1st 10 to order. don't know if that is a good or bad thing lol anyway I would definitely be interested in the axle back especially in a matte black or even carbon fiber look, would go well with my BOM and also draw less attention from local authorities. keep us posted James. do you have a time frame that your exhaust will be available? Im in the market as we speak and can wait but don't want to wait forever. Thanks again....

Short shifter will be out soon.

We just tested the first article and are almost ready for production. We are making very minor tweaks to the part and will have them ready soon.

Thanks,

Thumbs up Mine is in!

Very brief initial review:

Installation was easy enough but trying to fit your hand into the chamber to hold the screw for the mounting bracket was a PITA!!!

Went for a quick, hard, and fast ride - this chamber intake has a deep booming resonating sound under full throttle acceleration alot like a cold air induction intake does. I know I set off at least one car alarm as I passed, I love it! I need to get more road time with it though to give you guys a better review but so far it seems to work very well as advertised.

sweet, I am still deciding on this, and waiting for numbers. Plus how it is compared to a CAI, pull wise.

Hey all,

Yes, sorry about that mounting bolt location. We knew some people were gonna have a hard time with getting their hand in there.

We re-reviewed the dyno data we had and we found another comparison graph that showed intake air temperature difference between stock and with the SSI. Intake temperatures were consistantly lower than stock.

We will post that on the website along with the power/torque graph.

Thanks,
H-FIT team

James -

Can you give us a ball park price range of where the price for the Short Shifter will fall?

Thanks,
James

Hey boyet & Wave-
I have not seen one of these intakes in person yet, may buy my own sometime in the future after I see dyno charts. But for the benefit of other members who buy this thing, could you use a paint mixing stick or ruler with double-sided tape to hold the bolt (or screw or lock nut, whatever it is) that you guys are having trouble with holding inside the chamber for the installation?

H-FIT-James-

Although my K&N Typhoon SRI is one of the re-designed replacements, it is still a failure as far as design and fit. It embarrasses me to have it under my hood, but it does work better than the stock box. Please show me that your chamber intake makes more power than K&N, and I promise to buy your intake. This means throwing away a bad excuse for an intake that cost me $232.00

I am impressed with your personal representation of your company on these forums. You mean what you say, and you sell good quality modifications for the Fit, and have more in the works. Thanks for being intelligent and ethical Fitfreak vendors.

I used needle nose pliers to hold the bolt inside the chamber and alot of patience. A little frustrating but very possibleto do.

After driving with the SSI to work today I must say I am impressed with it so far and can't wait to drive home later tonight. The chamber intake design definitely improves "driveability" much better than the two previous SRI designs I had.

Does it pull as well as my Injen CAI did? The butt dyno tells me yes. I need more road time with it but so far so good.

Getting mine on Friday. Looking forward to installing it over the weekend. from the sounds of it I from Wave I will be happy with the purchase. Also impressed with the way the company handles/represents itself and would be interested in doing business again in the future. Looking forward to the Axle back Exhaust that is in the works. Would be nice to see some dyno numbers even though have already made the purchase. Just would satisfy my curiousity.

H-Fit James, you should post the numbers/graph on here immediately and if they as as good as you seem to think you will triple your sales of this product. Emailing those who have showed faith in your product like myself the dyno results would be the least you could do. Sure you have the emails of all those who bought this on file, would not be to hard at all. Word of mouth from us alone can be a benefit to you as well.

Dave, here's the picture of the luck nut (fig.A),it has to be inside as per instruction on the manual, the chamber is one whole piece and cannot be seperated, you have to insert your hand inside the chamber on a 2 1/2 diameter to tighten it,wave used a needle nose plier,i used my hand but i put some vaseline lotion on my hand so it help to get through the hole, different strokes for different folks,if you decided to buy the supa suca and your hands are the same size as shaquille o'neal i'm willing to help you to put the lock nut if you dont mind driving to camarillo .
