Hello,

I have heard good things about JR from friends, and looking around the web I found a link to fitfreak, just the forum I was looking for.

I do have a quick question, I notice that the new 5lb kit is said as having 150whp, but this is just members of fitfreak not JR saying it. I did see a dyno for the older design with ~125whp which seems to make sense. The way I look at it the fit makes ~90whp, 5lb of boost would give it 33% more air bringing the total to ~120whp. How is it possible to get another 30whp? I understand the runner is probably a better design the stock Honda, but the supercharger also puts an extra load on the engine. Kraftwerks, do you have a dyno you could show me? If you can I'll call you right away and order one, when there available that is, as this is just what I need for my fit.

the OLD design was dynoed at 125whp. The 142whp dyno is my car with the OLD design on 5psi with header, cat delete, exhaust and bigger injectors. We dont ahve a dyno for my car on the new kit, but I am about 155-165whp with the same mods as before but minus the bigger injectors.

BTW my car STOCK with header/cat delete/exhaust i put down 100whp even. So on from 100 even to the 155whp(could be more) thats a 55% increase in HP

Regardless, those 2:06 lap times are pretty damn poor, boosted, K swapped, or otherwise.
Sorry I had to jump in the K Swap discussion!

Not Ass handage AT ALL! Could just be driver / Car's suspension / Tires /Ect.

For Buttonwillow yes those are slow times.

Now I'm done.

Now that we're back on track...I thought the 5lb kit was releasing in Dec. Do we have a date yet?

The best answer is ASAP! I have no exact release date yet. We will ship in January, and be taking deposits in mid to late December.

As soon as we get our production pieces in the door!

I just hope they don't get delusions of grandeur about it.

here's the thing. me? i'd like the base 5 psi application, because according to jdm chris and the jacksons, it makes some pretty appealing numbers for such a low boost application.

that and instead of investing in buying a whole new car (like an si or a gti) i get to keep my fit and it will still be a bit quicker than either of those cars.

will i race? no. will i take someone by suprise at a few lights? ofcourse. will people ask me to pop the hood at local meets and oogle the car? sure! but i have no interest in messing with evos. just to have a fun drive. the fit has the handling, it has the steering, and now it'll have the power.

the jacksons kit, hopefully, will be the closest equivalent of getting a S/C fit from honda themselves.

That is the engineering standard we have always built our kits on. We want our kits to fit (no pun intended) on the car like it was meant to be there.

So you hit it on the head here.

I think your expectations and goals with the kit are right on. I expect that you'll be very happy with that choice once all is said and done.

I can't wait to get this kit into my car!! My Fit is already pulling 1.07 lateral G's on street tires, all I need now is a little extra oomph so I don't fall asleep in the straights.

And yes I do track my fit, occasionally though, I'm gonna take here to the track for the 2nd time this saturday and intend on visiting the track at least 3 times next year. Maybe I'll have everything setup with the S/C by the end of next year and be ready to sign up for the official time attack championship in 09'

Thats what I LOVE about my Fit. Its frugal with gas, spacious enough to stuff 4 large laser printers, a few PCs with their UPS battery backups, and still have room for a passenger (I'm a systems admin, so I have to carry around equipment a lot), it looks good, handles like God on cocaine and it can still hold its own in the track with some slightly faster cars. I LOVE THiS CAR!!

I cant wait for them to come out. I took out a loan on my car though so I dont think i will be able to take out a $5k loan on the charger , Im still going to try though. If the 5lb kit with intercooler was $4k Id work a lot of overtime to get one haha but thats only wishful thinking.
