to answer your question, i think the discrepency came from the original run being on the older kit, the new one is more efficient apparently.

chris, do you have any problems over taking gti's or si's?
i AM making more power because of the new kit.. i just cant say exactly the way it was made that improved this kit over the last.

Im pretty even with the New Si's

Are those modded or stock Si's? If modded then I think that's good. If stock, not so much.....considering those weigh roughly 400 lbs. more than the Fit and in stock form dyno around 175 whp with only 125 lb. ft. of torque.

but even so, stock si's run 0-60 in just under 6.5 seconds. for a manual transmissioned fit that runs stock just under ten seconds, hell even if it was nine, shaving 2-3 seconds is a huge deal!

and remember this is with the smaller kit.

and the torque being made to the wheels will probably be more than the si's 125lb. besides, unlike the si, with that kind of torque coupled with the fits weight, i can imagine who would get ahead on a freeway and downshifting to third. K20's are great, but unfortunatley even in the new si, this situation shows you how much noise and how high your engine can rev without really throwing you back in your seat.

awesome. thats what i wanted to hear. I think some people may not find that impressive, but i'll stress again, considering what our cars make to the wheels stock, your numbers are very very impressive.

I'm not knocking the improvement in acceleration at all. It just doesn't make sense to me that a 2500 lb car with 160ish whp doesn't at least walk away from a 2900 lb car with 175 whp and presumably less torque throughout the entire powerband.

You know what makes me laugh? Saying that you'll be taking deposits this month without having even posted a dyno graph yet.

considering the fact that jdmchris IS NOT selling these superchargers HIMSELF, i would assume that any comments such as these are probaly little jigs called 'jokes'.

If you simply compare HP/weight ratios, for the Fit to have an equivalent ratio to the Si it would be making roughly 150 whp. That's of course completely ignoring the torque advantage of the boosted 1.5L. This would lead me to believe that the old version of the kit that made 142 hp should have been on par with the new Si and I would then expect that the new kit with the 155-165 whp would be able to solidly pull on the new Si.

Its actually quite easy...

Because the K can rev to 8200 and the L only to 6500, the Si stays at its peak power longer than the Fit. Theres alot more to it than just HP numbers.

I sort of worded this a little wrong, but anyway what i was trying to say was the Si stays in a its higher power band longer.

I realize he isn't selling them himself. It's a jab at Chris for being condescending and it's a jab at Jackson for considering taking deposits on a system that hasn't posted any 1/4 mile times or dyno graphs in this thread yet.

Also, I just noticed the JDMChris edited out his entire post of "lol this makes me laugh". That's very cute.

Not so easy is it. Haha. I hope you're referring to the gearing, because peak rpm is really a non-factor here. When you shift at redline what rpm does the tach fall to in each gear? Better yet, any chance you could post that dyno graph now that it's been published in a magazine that I don't subscribe to?

I erased the posts that were just pointless arguing.. i realized that i did start it, so i took all of it out.

lets get back on topic now... As Far as Dynos.. Theres Dynos from the Old kit posted as well as the new one that is in Siphon. I dont have a scanner to scan it, maybe someone else can?

Haha. I think you posted something very similar in response to a post that I made earlier in this thread.

Has this kit made CARB certification yet? The website shows "pending". It also shows the kit for a base Fit? Or am I reading it wrong? Auto or manual tranny?
