The 144whp graph on our website is with a header, cat delete, and 50mm cat-back exhaust. I don't know how much of an increase you will see with 60mm, but it would not hurt your system.

The catalytic converter has some restriction, and you might see a small decrease. But I wouldn't fret over it. We only saw 2whp and 4wtq with a cat -delete on our 364whp S2000 kit. Keep your catalytic converter, and save the world!

what about the bov rumor I heard, can you run a bov with this supercharger? I love the noise so I was going to go turbo but if I can run a bov then I may reconsider

2: Our kit uses a standard Bosch-type bypass valve. This valve is perfect for everything the Fit will be doing. We use this same valve on our 360+WHP S2000 kit.

If you would like to change valves, continue to use a bypass/diverter type valve. These valves do two things: Bypass at cruise speed for increased fuel efficiency, and blow-off excess pressure in the tubes when you chop the throttle. Blow-offs simply blow-off.

BTW the bypass valve definitely goes PSHHHH

This might be slightly off topic but Oscar your the expert here so i'd like to ask you. When upgrading the header we need new injectors? and you said the stock header has a very restrictive design.... so for people that are running n/a right now are they definitely getting hp/tq improvements with headers and a larger exhaust? because i've heard so many stories of people losing power what do you think? and just to tie this all back to the KW kit i plan on getting the kit and would like a better understanding of the exhaust flow vs power.

Thanks in advance

Okay, I did get the numbers a bit wrong. Trying again, just trying to understand here... say crazy-high back-pressure at end of exhaust stroke makes in-cylinder pressure 1.5x the intake pressure, and you reduce that to 1x. Then there'd be 9.6% of volume filled with 1x pressure air compared to 1.5x originally which expands to 14.4% of volume at end of intake stroke leaving ~86% fresh air, compared to ~90% with the free-flowing exhaust. So that's closer to 5% more fuel it might need at most, with this more realistic guess.

Okay, I just wanted to be sure that not all of your cold-weather testing was at high altitude, since the SAE correction factor calculator I found does seem to imply there's at least 10% more air in a given volume on a cold day at 2000 feet compared to 5000.

Just joined up and this kit has caught my interest.
I have read through this thread and just had a question.
Just wanted to know if there would be an issue if running this kit with the injector upgrade on a Fit with only a cat-delete and catback exhaust setup? No upgraded header as of yet since I am patiently waiting for a good conditioned used one to go up for sale . I realize i won't be getting the full potential of the car w/o an upgraded header but just wanted to know if it's doable and safe to go w/o it for awhile.

When you upgrade your header in conjunction with our kit, you will need the upgraded injector pack.

I cannot speak for the other after-market tuners, and how they designed their headers. Header design has a lot of feel and instinct, and theories differ between everyone. We have consistently made good power with our prototype NA upgrades, so I guess our I/H/E design formula has always worked well. But unfortunately, I cannot give you a definitive answer on the performance of after-market headers. Some cars have VERY good headers from the factory, and do not require any upgrades.

Please PM me with links to dyno graphs where someone lost power on a Fit.

Thanks for the reply I do not have dyno graphs showing that i've just read it in a number of places and i could be wrong. Thanks again i don't want to send the thread off course with header questions.

When is the release date? I see a ton of data but no date? As I am anxious to get some more ponies out of Fit. But yet I also see the Doug Thorley s/c kit that is available now.

It's been documented a few times. No official release date yet, but we are hoping to see one in the next week or two.
