congrats on the purcahse, i also have one on my MT Sport, adn must admit i like it good enough to keep it for awhile versus getting something else anytime soon, i posted a vid clip of it awhile back for others to hear it, adn that's when i first started to notice that it sounded just the way i wanted it, which is how you describe it.

1. Is the HFP sport exhaust a bolt-on or is cutting/welding required?
2. It looks like the exhaust pipe finisher (the tailpipe) comes out of the muffler at a small diameter for a few inches, and then bumps up to a larger diameter tip. I understand that the smaller diameter section is required as part of the engine/intake/exhaust tuning. How obvious is this when installed on the car? Does it look weird? (No offense intended...)

Which headers, exhuast and intake?
Hey, guy's I just bought my 07 Honda Fit Sport automatic and I LOVE IT!!! It’s SO cool! I've already put HID's in but I just wish that it had a little more power. I'd like to put some headers and an exhaust system on it. I’ve been looking at a whole bunch of different headers but i can't decide on which one to get. The 2 that I’ve been looking at mainly are Spoon and Mugen. Hopefully, I don’t want to spend TOO much as I’m getting married soon. If there are better ones, please post it. The second part of this thread is the cat back exhaust system. {I live up in Canada so I have to have a cat on it } Anyway, I want a LOW sounding rumble NOT that lawnmower sound. Any suggestions? I’ve heard that the twin loops are pretty good. Lastly, I’ve curious on which intake system to get too. I’ve been looking at one from Injen but like I said before, I’m new to the import scene. Please Post any suggestions or yell at me for looking at something that it really crappy!! Thanks!!!

check out the new MEGAN RACING headers. Megan racing is very popular here in the US for quality and great price. I think they run around $170 US currency compared to mugen $700 US currency. They also have the full cat-back exhaust system going to be released pretty soon. As for an intake, you can get a variety of intakes. If you have the manual fit, you can get injen or fujita or aem cold air intakes. I recommend injen myself b/c i have used them in the past and the quality is supurb and they now tune the intake's so you don't lose your gas mileage. If you have the AT fit (like me) you can go with the T1R carbon intake by AJ-Racing or any short ram intake (fujita or injen).

Megan did R&D on my car adn their header is actually really good for the price. If your looking for something not too loud and with the low tone I recomend the tanabe touring or the Honda HFP axleback. As fas as intake I personally like the T1R, but its all preference from there.

Well after one month I removed the HFP Sport Exhaust from my 5AT. The exhaust sounded great at start up and idle, full throttle acceleration, and cruise most of the time; however, under light acceleration (urban driving) it droned between 2000-3000 RPM. The wife (who drives the Fit most days) didn't care for it and the sound was getting on my nerves as well. I guess this is the reason Honda recommends this exhaust for 5MT only. It's now listed in the For Sale section. The unanswered question is why does this only occur on the 5AT and not on the 5MT? Are the engines tuned differently?
