Hi,
I'm on the market for optimizing exhaust system on my 1.2Dsi Jazz: as far as you know would Megane or DC 4-1 header fit the 1.2?

Please forgive me the dumb question: wouldn't it be useful to apply thermal coating (as on Caswell Inc. - Tech Line Coatings)
in order to keep the exhaust as warm as possible?

And, wouldn't be sensible to coat all the intake conducts to prevent the air flowing through them from being heated?

Regards,

Stefano

current mod: (my friend's car L15A VTEC CVT-7 speed)
-drop in air filter replacement
-throttle body custom mod (1~2mm reamed & polished)
-intake manifold custom mod
-Port & Polish head + 3-angle valve job
-Unichip piggyback
-stock exhaust

dyno-ed @140b.h.p

what is the best exhaust setting?
thinking about J's Racing Header-Downpipe-B-pipe-Muffler

any other suggestion? since the J's racing exhaust it's quite expensive.

thanks,

Smile Honda Sport Muffler

Does anyone know anything about the Honda Sport Muffler for the Fit. Bernardi sells it for a pretty reasonable price and I was wondering if it actually increases performance or if it is purely for aesthetics. Does it increase power? What does it do to gas mileage? How does it sound? And how does changing the stock muffler affect a car over the long run? Thanks for the help.

Very nice Thread! I recently began an exhaust SOUND CLIP Thread to try to further assist any decisions. I am currently adding a link to your thread for any other visual or technical questions.

Thanks for the info!!

Anyone interested in the SOUND CLIP THREAD, It is located here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-exhausts/23501-last-stop-exhaust-clips-videos-inside.html

i use hks silent hi power. Jasma approved.. great torque, and just slightly more tone than the oem muffler. the HKS hi power is raspy though.. so go with the silent one.. though it's quite hard to find these days...

hi guys looking at these 3 magnaflow mufflers, anyone have any recommendations?

1.
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

2.
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

3.
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

they all have 2.25 ins, 2.5 cores, 4 and 3 inch tips, i love the look of the 14832 the most, and it'll be quieter than the round bodies which I want. To large though? a 4inch tip on a jazz...hmm

can anyone tell me what kind/who makes the exhaust I've just put on my GD3?
its in my build thread on page 2..
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...-spec-gd3.html

the certification numbers from the JASMA badge on the rear muffler are unrecogniseable other than the first 2 digits due to being scraped off when the system was on the car that got wrecked. No manufacturer branding or signs which has left me without any clues

sounds really nice, and is a two piece complete catback system, the b pipe has just one big muffler, then goes in to c pipe, with the rear muffler. I love the noise it makes (which is not much, but a nice growl to let you know its there on startup).
looks cool when its nice and polished in terms of looks as well.
