On the newer cars the 205/50R16 will work. The 2009 uses a taller tire than say the 2007 car uses. The DWS would be a great tire on the Fit. If I can help let me know.

Great, thanks! Yeah--let me figure out my rim situation and I will let you know about getting those tires. They are like $105 each right?

How's the handling with these springs? I'm thinking of lowering mine. Thanks.

I don't think she would mind me speaking for her... The springs are great handling with a slightly firmer but not at all rough ride.... I like them on my GD3 too.

If your sport has 15" wheels, which is the diameter of the wheel at the base of the tire rim, you can't use 14" inside diameter tires.
If you find someproper 14" wheels that fit Honda Fits, then you can use those 195/60x14 tires. They're a little shorter than stock (.2") but not enough to matter.

They would work. The wider tires would not be as good in the snow though. If I can help with the tires let me know.

all i can say is http://tyerstretch.com they will tell you what size tire you need on what size rim

example: my wheel are 15x8 and it will tell me every size that is compatible but then you have to see what the best for your drop and stance you are going for!

A 20560R15 is too tall and will not fit. You can go with either a 205/55R15 or 205/50R15 though.

I might disagree with the 205/55x15; they are too tall if he lowers. as long as the offset is 55 the 205/50x15 should work.

A 205/55R15 is the same height as the OE tires on the 09 Honda Fit. A lot depends on the width of the wheels as well. A 55mm offset if very high and may cause issues on the inside.

Agreed and even a trifle less but when you lower the car the original tire height becomes a shade on the risky side. The only saving grace is the 55 mm offset. When you lower a couple of inches even that isn't enough insurance. The 205/50x15 is a better choice.

What is it you are worried about?

It is less likely to rub compared to 50s.
The speedo will be more off than the 50s (you will actually be going slower than the indicator).
The odo will be more off (you'll be adding more "miles" than you really got).

While the 50s will also be off, they're only off by .3%... where as the 45s will be off by more than 3% (that's 0.3 vs 3.0).

If you understand all that and are willing to accept it as a compromise... there shouldn't be anything wrong with using them.

Is running a set of 195/60/15 on a 15 x 6 ET35 wheel not so great an idea? I have the chance at picking up a set of wheels with new tires mounted on them on the cheapey-cheap.

Need a reply asap please!
