TIRE questions, sizes, mounting, pressures ANY tire questions
Yeah 32psi...I was thinking of my parents C Class haha. And I recall you should only take tire pressures when the tires are cold as the heat built up will increase the pressure as you drive, so there will never be a consistent value. Over inflation of your tires isn't good either...

I am going to rotate and check the tires tomorrow. Just weird though, all of the sudden I am getting horrible mpg, was getting 38-42avg, now I am getting 29-33avg. Out of nowhere too, same driving habits and all. All i can think of is the tires. It also started after i had the car to the dealership for an oil change.
After having mysterious items fault right after my Jetta would visit VW stealerships, definitely my Fit will never see one even for warranty work. I will fix everything myself, thankyouverymuch. (Yeah I've turned paranoid.)
Fit OEM Sport tires
It took me a while to read throughout this forum and I think I've got an idea what works and not on the OEM 15inch rims but what I didn't see was a clear answer to why some sizes were not considered. For example, FitSport OEM's are clearly 195/55r15 not 185/ 55r15 and not 195/50r15 as I noticed in other posts.
Most people were wondering whether 205/55r15 or 205/50r15 or even 215/50r15 were OK to use without rubbing or other issues and most said that 205/50r15 is what they tried although the 215/50r15 is the best fit for 0.08% speedo issues and looks in my opinion.
I think those who are considering upgrading, are thinking of:
1. speedo issues (best match is 215/50r15 with 0.08% difference in circumference according to this site:Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible)
2. performance (best match would be 205/50r15)
3. looks 205/55r15 and/or 215/50r15
4. Rubbing (guessing best against rubbing would be 205/50r15)
I'd really like to get someone lile Jim @tirerack best bet on which of these sizes would be the best compromise for the OEM Fit sport.
I really tend to go with #3 and especially with the 215/50r15 as it would not throw off the speedo and looks good but have no idea how that will influence performance and whether I will have rubbing issues with the standard suspension. Comments? Jim@tirerack, please help

I got an 07 fit, put 15" gsr hammers 4X100 ~38 offset 195/55 15 (front) 195/60 15 (back), but the ride is horrible, Fits right and flush, looks good but ride sucks steering is shaky, and leans to a side.
So I put stock 14s back on.
any help why this happening? Balancing? Tires?

Others are called Fat5's and GSR Blades. I had Fat5's on my Fit with 225/50/15's. Rode Great. The Fat5's are 45mm offset.
You need the right size tires all the way around. Im sure they need to be balanced. How old are the tires? Maybe they have flat spots.....

Ive switched tires a lot and my MPG is always the same. However, my best was 38mpg. As of right now judging by my miles on my current tank Im probably going to get 33mpg.
Hello all, I purchased a set of 15X7 wheels and I was wondering if our stock Dunlop tires will work on these rims. I have a Fit Sport. Thanks!
