TIRE questions, sizes, mounting, pressures ANY tire questions
Chris, what are you lowered on? I was previously dropped on GF210's and those were lower than my current Skunk2's. I am running a 205 50 15 and rubbed off the top tabs holding the fender liner within 2 weeks. running a +44 offset and I don't know how people DON'T rub.
Struts gone already maybe? I don't know...I hear people not rubbing with +2 than stock wheels and whatnot...I dunno...if I could have found the Azeni's in 195 though, I would have went with something like that. Unfortunately, these in the 205 series look nasty!!

awww that sux u guys get climate control and more importantly the power roof...
no offence but i like the stance of the +42 offset
imo the more offset on the jazz gives the illusion of a wide body more so than the vinyl
very nice car i much enjoyed looking through ur pix

Widest tires on a Fit
I know that one of you is using 215/45R16 tires on their Fit and don't have much problems with it. I'm wondering who is / thought of using 225's?
I'm thinking 225/45R15 on some 15x7" rims

I am glad you looked through the pics at my hard work!
To be honest et42 and et45 are not going to look any different when fitted onto a car. However, the extra 3mm is all the difference between hitting the fender or not.
As to the deep rim on my wheels, this is not really an indication of the offset but just more to do with design of the wheel.

I think the vinyl does give the impression of a wide body kit. I agree with p11wrg, the extra 3mm will not change the look of the car, but it definitely will make a difference in the rubbing department. I'm running +42 and am having rubbing issues with 'spirited driving'. I guess it sticks out the wheels a bit more, but nothing extravagant enough to notice. I'd also like to see someone test some 17x7.5 with some 195 or 205 tires and stretch them out...should also solve the problem for a little higher offset...
Any rubbing on 16" rims with 205/45 16s on a fit (not dropped) I've heard there is rubbing against the wall with 17 and they're 205/40 17s? Please let me know if you've got experience with this size. Thanks.

The 205x45x16 is a wider tire - and not just because the first number is bigger
. The "205" is the measurement is taken from sidewall to sidewall in millimeters. The "45" is the percentage of the sidewall width compared to the rest of the tire.If my crappy math is correct the 195 has 97.5 millimeters of contact patch versus 112.75 for the 205. Not a huge difference but more rubber on the road will help with grip. Grip is good
