I refuse to use credit cards to purchase things that I really don't need to survive or I would really be in debt on just the interest I owed.... It's difficult not to be able to purchase the things I want for my car by always paying cash but I have a lot less to worry about that way..... I still managed to spend over $4000.00 in cash on 2 purchases in a 2 month period earlier this year..... My car still looks pretty crappy but is sure a lot faster.

^^ I have used my credit card to pay for 70% of my purchases for the Fit. I have also payed off every thing at the end of the month so I would not carry a balance on the card.

That is the best way to do it... I can't stand having a credit card balance en when it is for an emergency purchase.....I am a fortunate man to have a wife that stays on top of our finances and reinforces me to not get carried away with getting crazy when there is something I see that I want for my car.

Way to go guys. I paid cash for my Fit. It was fun trying to cram all those ones, tens, hundreds and thousands in on the cheque. I use debit card for everything. Being old I have no limit on free transactions. It was not always like that but I always paid the bills before pi$$ing any away.

Now that there are guys getting tired of their GDs and restoring them to stock to either sell or trade in there are used parts popping up and some fairly good prices for those of us that are committed to the GD, (or should be committed to an institution maybe).

Everything is costlier in Canada to a certain extent due to the exchange rate of U.S. and their currency..... It is probably as hard to find a tint shop in parts of Canada as it will be finding someone installing tint that is still in business to honor the lifetime warranty on their work.

I happened upon the tint shop that does Honda so I saved myself some by not ordering it with tint. I guess there is a lot fewer cars here with tint thus not as competitively priced.
