so far from my 10 sport M/T that I wish it had:

- 6th gear for even better MPG in the highway
- where do I put my coins?
- I wish I could sort the ipod via genre instead of having to create a playlist for it.
- temp gauge (even though factory temp gauges are not all that accurate)
- outside temp gauge
- lights in the vanity mirror

All of these really are just little nit picky stuff that aren't really important. Overall I love the car and it meets all of my needs.

Hey...I went to Walmart, into the auto aisle, and got one of those "shaped like a cup" coin sorter holders. It holds quarters, dimes, nickles on the top for easy access and pennies in a container on the bottom.

I have it in the cupholder behind the parking brake. It works like a charm.
Was also only like $3.00.
Whoot!

2008 Honda Fit Sport issue:
I don't like getting shocked everytime I get out of the car and close the door. I haven't really found a way around this that doesn't include buying seat covers. I usually just quickly tap the door with the back of my hand, or let my leg touch the car as I get out. However, all of my methods do result in getting shocked majority of the time I get out of the car.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? If so, have you found any ways to resolve the issue?

Only during winter. It's happened with every car I have ever owned. One way to minimize the shock is to touch the key to something as you get out of the car; this will force the arc to the point of the key, rather than to your finger, although you will still be conducting the current.

I've had the car for about 3 weeks now, so I will make my list of the major things:

Clutch delay
Slower steering rack than I'd like
Unflattering tail lights
Brakes could be better
Weirdest noises I've ever heard from a gasoline engine
Unacceptably thin carpet under driver's feet

Still on the fence about:

Seat comfort
Low front lip
A/C performance
Wet weather performance

Hayden--let me see if I can help...

Clutch delay--there's a fix for that (it's a delay valve)
Slower steering rack than I'd like--lighter wheels/tires can help
Unflattering tail lights--I have JDM Base hotness
Brakes could be better--new pads and rotors, stainless lines
Weirdest noises I've ever heard from a gasoline engine--volume knob..lol or intake/exhaust
Unacceptably thin carpet under driver's feet--floor mats?

Seat comfort--Clazzios cushion nicely
Wet weather performance--better tires...maybe Continental Extreme Contact DWS

Hope that helps

Thanks btrthnezr3! I've been planning on doing some of the things on your list to remedy what I think needs work.

The carpet is wearing down around the clutch pedal area though, and others have reported the same thing by the accelerator, and even got it fixed under warranty. I just got the factory mats in the mail yesterday, and will be installing them tonight, but they won't cover up any of the worn sections.

I think flip flops and this car don't work together for some odd reason. Have owned a manual for 14 years and never seen anything remotely like it. Ah well - I'm not going to be that picky unless it wears down to the metal, which is a distinct possibility at this point. haha

This is the first car I have noticed this event occuring almost everytime. My passenger's comment on it once in a while too. That's a good idea with the key idea though. Thanks!

Water temp gauge
Outside temp gauge
USB always say Data error I have to unplug my USB then replug it, almost every time when I start the car.
And the little ugly gap at the bottom of the front windshield at the passenger side.

My 09 Fit is too low. I keep scrapping the front corner getting in and out of driveways. Having a hard time remembering to drive s l o w w w w. And speed bumps!!! Yikes, scrape city here I come. I never had this problem with my Maxima. The front corner underside is cabbage right now. Maybe I should consider raising it. Other than that, I like my Fit.

It won't be missing for mine much longer. Just one more part to arrive and some more wrenching.

What I don't like is what 'im the fit' got and I don't.
I want that - all that, plain and simple.

Be proud brother. K_C_

it's in the exact spot where pedestrians crossing the sidewalk coming from the driver's side would be so i don't see them until i flip them over my roof.

it's also in the exact spot where drivers just to the left of me are using their blinkers to merge into my lane. they probably think that i'm a jerk not letting them in my lane.
