What you DONT like about your Fit

I Quebec we are polar bear friendly because we have hydro electricity .
Well, more seriously, best sellers in Canada were alway smaller than in USA. Civic instead of the camry for the last couple of years.

I OWN A '07 FIT SPORT W/MT IN ORANGE BLAZE. EXCEPT FOR THE FRONT BLIND SPOTS (CAME CLOSE TO HITTING PEOPLE IN CROSS WALKS. NOW I PAY CLOSER ATTENTION ON THOSE LEFT HAND TURNS), I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE CAR. MY BROTHER LIKED MY CAR SO MUCH HE BOUGHT AN '09 FIT SPORT IN BLUE SENSATION PEARL. NOW I WISH MINE HAD THE ARM REST, THE MAP LIGHTS AND THE TRIP COMPUTER (ESPECIALLY THE MAP LIGHTS). I STILL LOVE MY FIT AND @ 45-50 MPG WHO'S COMPLAINING

Two things I don't like about the Fit Sport:
1) Sun Visor is ineffective; [bought the extend-a-visor] and
2) Power steering is too sensitive. I can easily drive with one hand in my '88 Civic and '90 CRX [both have rack and pinion no power steering]. It's hard to keep the Fit in a straight line driving with one hand.

2800 miles and the latch handle on the hatch door has already broken loose. Every time I forget not to grab the stupid handle to close the hatch... the thing comes off looking
stupid with the handle flying off the street.

I've taken to grabbing the the hatch just above the latch and pulling down on it to close the hatch. Once it's partway down I flip my hand to the license plate to push it closed. That silly 'handle' is misplaced and plain useless.

+1 the handling is really off with AC at freeway speeds... feels like its very tall and has a ton of yaw

The first ten that come to mind:
1. Interior fabric is freaking impossible to clean.
2. Interior fabric (Sport) is black, which makes it really easy to tell that it's not clean.
3. Tiny sun visors.
4. The latch hatch is poorly placed (esp. compared to my old '95 Accord EX wagon).
5. Braking ain't the best, especially with those drum brakes.
6. Left arm rest (on driver's door) is too low. I'm sure my elbow is gonna rub a bald spot on the fabric by the window.
7. The factory door-lock setting (easily fixed).
8. No temperature gauge (aside from cold/hot).
9. Ten cupholders but nowhere to keep my change (it's an urban car; cities have meters).
10. THOSE are the Sport-only colors?!

Braking isn't a problem, tires are the problem, way before.
Rear discs are more a marketing thing than anything on a small car.
However, since they are easier to replace, rust less, look better, and will endure big power/track better, I still prefere them.
