Hmm i will bite on this thread. I hate that i want to mod it. Really its a great car. Could have came with mats in it stock but they were not pricey to buy at all used on here. There is nothing i can really say is bad about this car.

It would be nice if the front lip wasn't so ridiculously low.

But, with that warranty, came the lucky 6-day 0.9 Financing rate! Can't complain about that...

Plus the fact that a dealer does almost anything in their power to get out of fixing your car free if you mod it...ugh.
A dealership cannot void your warranty because of aftermarket parts...all they can void is the warranty on that particular part or, they can deny a warranty claim if your modified part caused the problem...it's called the Magnusson-Moss Act.

It isn't up to a particular dealer.

the auto scan/program button on the radio is useless. Why would I want the radio to auto program the first few radio stations it finds? Who was asking for this feature?
And I have accidently pressed it twice now... effectively erasing the presets that I had loaded.

Ok I really didn't read through this entire post but after a few pages I have to say most complaints seem pretty simple to solve. The only "real" complaint I have with the car is the USB/Ipod interface. If I want to go to a certain artist and there name happens to start with a w...well I just give up!

The only other thing I notice is when I have only one window open driving at speed there seems to be this weird pulsations of air that bothers my ears. My dog never seems to mind it but both my wife and I notice it. It was the same before and after I bought window visors. it could just be me though as I haven't heard of anyone else who has this problem.

I take them out and put them in a shopping bag, and keep them in the trunk [ when I had my GD]

Then i get SOL when there are more passengers in my car. i've thought about bubbles but they look so effin ugly. is there a company that makes mirrors that cover up the "outer triangle" of our sideview mirrors since ours are kinda pentagonal shape.

I got annoyed enough with my headrests to remove them and stick them under the rear seat.

This buffeting problem exists with almost all contemporary 4-door cars. I think it's because almost all cars are designed to be used with air conditioning, so the engineers don't pay attention to air flow issues with the windows open.

My biggest peeve with the Fit is awfully small: the auto down/auto up feature of the driver's side window is so twitchy that it's almost impossible to crack the window by 1/2". At first, I thought it was a neat feature, but I now prefer cars with auto down only. I think this may be another problem that results from designing for A/C. I suspect only the older generation of drivers here remember triangular "wind vane" windows, that were very handy for directing fresh air in the pre-A/C days.

Yes! The twitchy drivers window. Been driving me crazy ever since I put the door visors on.

What I've learned is to use the front of the switch and, like most everything else with the FIT, use a gentle touch. There is a sweet spot - just hard to find it consistently. I'm wondering if there's some way to disable the auto down function.

Other cars I've driven have this feature but none has been as touchy as the FIT

Seems to me I've seen a new vehicle with those operable windows... but probably not.

I hate:
Throttle by wire, not enough feeling, I don't feel like it truly helps with fuel economy either.

Front seats: No adjustements for lumbar or height (and they aren't well set for me like they are), they do not recline enough for people with tall legs.

I dislike:
Short ratio gear box, or lack of 6th speed, on the manual.
Cheap plastic trim and noisy cabin (with oem base tires at least)
No power door locks in the base DX (while they have all the safety features, power mirrors and windows), so you feel forced to buy the LX.
The car is somewhat heavy for a small car, it does affect the fuel economy, performance and feeling (an echo hb 04-05 with gas by cable is much more fun, nimble and responsive imo).
Usdm version with longer nose and big bumpers
Big turning radius (same as a ford focus zx3, worst than my civic wagon 4wd).

I hate it that you can't really change out he seat without sacrificing the side air bag. Why couldn't they just put it on the pillar instead of the seat? Plus the belt hanging in the back window always falls off. But gonna get a throttle controller to fix lagging throttle problem

With a list like this, I really don't understand why you bought a Fit.

My only concerns with our 2008 Fit Base (bought new) are below:
1. No factory cruise control as an option on the base model.
2. The carpets and some of the trim feel kind of cheap - my old Ford Escort feels more substantial in many respects.
3. No factory iPod option in the base model.
4. A little more leg room would be nice. The headroom is awesome! (I am 6'2")
5. The angle of the rear tires looks like they will wear on the inside, despite the car being freshly aligned. We went through our factory tires in 30k miles!
Overall - I am very happy we have this good little car.

It's my mom's car. And still, it was the best value for the price and most of the cars in this category/modern cars have many of these problems.
I drive yaris hatchback a lot too, seats are a bit more comfy but still don't go back enough for tall peple, throttle by wire, etc. And the trunk is a third of the fit's trunk. However the engine has a bit more low end torque and longer gear box.
And many of the problems could be fixed easily, so I'm sad that Honda tried to ruin their best car with some little things. If I didn't like the car a bit I would not give a shit if there were some wrong things (or even all the car wrong).
And I don't find any place to complaint (except by phone) on their canadian website.
