If you're talking Dunlops I felt the same way, but after 8kmiles they turn out to be a good tire. They need breaking in, that's all. Much like the MPg's. Mine rose till 9k.

But other than this that's about it

I want it to get 50 mpg in town on 2 mile trips and do the 1/4 mile in 6 seconds and I that's what I don't like about my Fit

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that the crappy stopping power is a tire issue, or just that the tires suck more than the brakes do? This might be something most people know, but my interest in cars is fairly new.

it doesnt really matter if vtec is "engaged" or not... all that is just the means to an end

Low torque, horsepower, too much body roll (stock), and looks like a jelly bean.

After 1 year of ownership, in descending order of annoyance:

1) seat cloth is a freaking lint/hair magnet

The following are all very distant contenders...

2) hard plastic dash/armrests scratch easily
3) exterior paint scratches easily
4) heater takes forever to get hot in winter
5) cheap carpet
6) no covered change drawer/ashtray
7) no variable intermittant wipers
8) no way to skip quickly through artists/songs in Ipod control

But I was aware of most of these when I bought it, so they didn't come as any surprise. Clazzio seat covers would fix #1, a replacement wiper stalk from an Element will fix #6, and a new HU #7.

All in all, pretty minor complaints. I've certainly owned fancier, more upscale autos, but none that was ever any more fun than my Fit. I'd happily buy it all over again. In fact, I'm looking to get my daughter a used one when she turns 16 next year (unless I can convince the wife that I need a CR-Z, then I'll give her my Fit!)

They will still be the limit before the brakes...
And I don't have the dunlops, jsut the cheap 175 base tire (khumo I think, on the 2009 cdm).

Get the Clazzios. I tend to forget most of you have the hair/lint problem.

I am happy with heater here in Canada. Not any worse than most other cars. I recall my big old V8s taking forever to warm up.

I toss my coins in big jar at home. Had enuf to buy Clazzios

Carpet is OK so far no problems with it.

In order of priority:

1) Tiny sun visors
2) Bad blind spot on the rear passenger left
3) Drum brakes in the back
4) Driver side/door/arm rest is way too hard and is uncomfortable
5) Slow

The pros definitely outweigh the cons though!

i just hate the fact my fit is not as fast a GT-R.

alot of members are complaining about the sun visors being too small, i dont even use mine i just put on my shades to block out the suns evil rays. i just dont like something obstructing my vision be it vertical or horizontal.

wish we had the skyroof option here in the states i would have gotten it even if i were to pay nav option price for it.

I think the biggest thing that I find the most annoying is how thin the cloth is on the doors.

The gas lid. Would have much rather had it open from the inside via cable release.

Headlights and Stability Control

According to Consumer Reports, the Fit's headlights earned the worst score for quality. Here's a direct quote from Consumer Reports, "The headlights' low beams give insufficient forward illumination. The high beams project farther but are dimmer close in."

Also, the lack of standard stability control is frustrating. Why should the only ones who can afford to purchase the top trim Fit Sport be allowed to benifit from the most importand safety feature since the seat belt. Stability control can save up to 10,000 lives per year, as per Consumer Reports.

Here's are three videos that demonstrates the effectiveness of stability control:

fit.sport - one of the very reasons I ponied up the $$$ for the Nav...for the traction control. An expensive way to get it!

Good tires and driving skills are much more important and reliable than these electronic things.

I want them only if we can switch them off.

IMO, a well informed and educated driver saves more lives.
