hahahaha.
after shopping, felt very good when i got back in my FitS. finally felt like me again.
after work im stopping over at my store... home depot! yay.
need to grab a few dremel grinder tips.

i think this is the last bit for my G until next yr. i need to get her new rear tires and maybe swap out the rotors.

the howling is now completely gone...wtf.
i could've lost $150 in diagnostic fee
or watever if i would've jumped the gun and had honda check for me.
root cause:
tires...probably. i must have incorrectly labeled them when i took it off last winter
or my kids moved the masking tape around to trick dad.
hahaha.
so, i guess the saying is true... 'if it sounds broke pretend not to hear it and it
will go away.' ok, i just made that up.
8500miles and my FitS is gone.
no big plans for this weekend, just motoring my G and Z or Z and G in that order.
my kid starts saturday school again so might need to use the FitS to pick him up.

took the G out for a nice touring drive this am enjoyed my new HU.
got back, cleaned the car and took the FitS out to run some errands. had to drive
through some tight turns and stuff (mostly parking lot and back streets) was kinda
fun. car is light and nimble so really shines in these conditions. easily find myself
reving high using a lot of engine braking and high rpm clutch engagements to keep
the Fit's engine in its torque band.

As my kids are getting older they are getting heavier and my wider tires with +40 offset is scraping the quarter panel arch often over dips so going to raise maybe 3/4" today.
I should get a fender rolling tool... Hahaha
On the Z the rear arch is just a thick cut out...meaning, there is no lip that bends inside towards the tire. All cars should be like this.
Motored my Z this am. Was a fun drive.
QD'ed and now just cooling off. Going to clean the wheels later on.

got done raising the rear. the enduratechs were actually in pretty good condition considering 2 harsh winters it went through with minimal washing.
some WD40 helped.
then washed both FitS's.
looks great again.

motored the FitS this am to work and the new ride height on the rear actually improved the overall dynamics of the car. it looked better before (raised about 3/4" now) but oh well. the way the car behaves during acceleration is more nimble... meaning the CG shift from front to rear when accelerating is less.

getting some dynamat coming in for my Z. got packs of 12x36 (8 sheets)... should be plenty to do the trunk.
also got the pro-roller for applying.
although the exhaust is quite lively while accelerating, road noise seeps through
the trunk into the cabin during cruising speeds... so wanted to get rid of that to
give my stereo more umph in the bass range.
