Had some awesome Chinese last night.
My GD makes this repetitive squeaking noise while braking. I may need to check the pads come spring.
Not much car action planned for today. Mostly in my music room.

No car action the last few days.... only went outside to pickup mail.
It's suppose to get warmer the next few days so I will be blasting water at my Fits to wash off the salt especially the undercarrige. If the snow melts and rains pretty hard on Friday I might pull out my Z for a nice weekend drive.

Happy New Year!
hope everyone has a great 2011! my new year's resolution is dont hold back when visiting or hooking up my j-friends. im tired of their 2-faced culture. hahaha.
if i dont like something, they'll be hearing from me.
hey, i managed to follow my 2010 yr resolution not to buy a car in 2010. this is the first time in over 10yrs that i did not buy a car each year.
i own 4 cars at a time and rotate them so it's not something out of the ordinary, but last year i just told myself not to buy and just save the dough.
was stormy yesterday...even had some t-storms over snow fields. hahaha.
was werd. temp was so high it melted all the snow on the ground. tomorrow looks like it's a green light to pull out my Z. but not sure. i want to pull her out, but then i'll have to re-calibrate the tire pressure to hibernation mode, refill the gas, clean the car, etc. not sure if it's worth all the trouble (aka, im getting real lazy.
).
so this year i dont have much plans to do anything on my G or Z. i may need to swap the rotors on my G, but i might be able to postpone until 2012... as for the Fit's nothing. i might put the GD back to stock before winter so that it's ready to be traded-in early 2012 for that Golf-R or some other new car i might want to get next.

hadn't pulled out my GD since last Monday but started up just fine in the 13F morning.
no, i did not motor my Z over the weekend...but did manage to turn the tires on the G/Z. i do this once a month just to be safe not to get flat spots. they are on flatstoppers though and off the cold concrete.

nothing new, just the same-o crappy commute to work... wish people would learn to get out of the way if they are going to drive slow and stay in the right lane.
this week's been pretty quiet as far as weather goes. probably need to get the fit's washed but probably wont happen until spring. hahaha.
my white GE is kinda gray/black while my silver GD is kinda white. lol
i should at least get the white one washed...

need to get new boots today...yah for me. i kept buying new shoes for my cars but nothing for me last year. so today, hopefully i can grab a new pair during lunch.
i wanted to grab a pair before the holidays but the checkout lines were so frikken long i gave up. it reminded me of the immigration office line that zig zags around and then wraps around the entire building, sometimes across the street too.
LOL
i think im going to buy me a new grinder for my garage this spring. something small and light weight, like the corded Dewalt one. i have 10 large bolt/studs i need to shorten and i dont think my dremel's going to like it.
hahaha.
i can also use that as my sander and clean up kids' furniture(s) to repaint them.

so yesterday i did get around to buying new shoes for my feet instead of my cars.
got lazy and bought 2 pairs (boot and snow shoes). should last me a while.
yesterday got my haircut at my usual stylist's place and while parking my car there i saw a new (or newer, not sure) Scion Tc. looked pretty good with nice factory sport wheels and such. it was kinda dark and so i couldnt tell if it was an accord coupe at first but i was plesantly surprised it was a scion.
not that i want one, but just saying. considering that, the older 330i coupe i saw this morning (i think 2004-2005 model) looked kinda cheezy. rather have the new scion instead of that thing.
basically the only difference i see between these mid-grade bimmers and say a j or k-car is that the bimmer rides lower and wears nicer wheels. other then that, they too look like econo-cars.

i heard from my buddies in japan the golf-r is going to be like near $50K range... which means in the US, it could be as much as $40K?? wtf. i dont care how cool the car is going to be, im not spending that much on a econobox hatch.
hahahahaha. i rather find a slighly used 2009/10 STI -hatch (awd, turbo, etc).
still have plenty of time before i decide wat to do next. cant wait for spring.

Welcome to the club. I have had mine since late 07. It doesn't have tourque; but it is smooth to the limit. I still have great fun every ride. Check your valve adjustment at some point. BTW I got the silver too (with dealer custom grey leather interior). Weatherguard floormats.
Note the blind spot and get a stick on for your driver's side mirror. Also, my cheap rubber shift knob had to go after tearing. I replaced with an alluminum one to match my leather. Great balance and shifts better. Not quite an Audi; but certainly more carefree.

Topped off the washer fluid and checked vital fluids. Looked like shitto under the hood with all the salt but looked good overall. My GD's making werd squeaking noises at times while in motion. Not sure where it's coming from...somewhere under the hood or front driverside axle...
Need to ck it out in the spring...

not much car action today, just motored to work following a Juke again but this time it was a silver one. not bad. it looks werd...but it's a cool werd. not a donky werd like a kia soul or something.
picking up the kids after work again in my GD and going to enjoy the evening.
not sure if any of you are into music, but the LA winter NAMM show started today and lots of music manufacturers released their new products. found some cool stuff i might get down the road. probably not for a while though.

both my Fits look discustingly dirty... need to get them to the autowash soon...
i wonder how often most people who are not into cars wash their cars... cause according to some of the buddies at work they said they cant remember the last time they got their car washed. hahaha.
they drive normal cars like camry, accords, etc.
my neighbors with their lux cars wash very often...their cars are pretty clean most of the time. im sure they are devastaed by seeing 2 cheezo cars on the drive way with one of them missing all 4 hubcaps.
