Lol I think volume wise you're fine but weight not sure! GL with your project too.

Still not done with sanding the patch work I did. Taking longer than expected. Too many family stuff going on at the same time. I just got reminded this am that I need to recycle the rest of the appliances too today or tomorrow night... my GE is super busy.

Woot, got some more drywall cracks patched up going to do the master bedroom's bath room today/tomorrow. I noticed my wife's nail marks behind (under) the towel hanger so I need to do a fairly large area.

I did manage to get the recycle stuff out of my basement so one more round to do smaller left over stuff next with and I think I'm done with the GD for good. . Happy Father's Day to all you pops.

Going to enjoy my Sunday. Hope to pickup some new tools today.

woot, got some new tools for father's day. mainly a micro mallet from tamiya (model/rc maker) and a super slim trimmer for plastic models, and a pair of long-needle nosed pliers with plastic inserts to prevent scratches on stuff im holding.

i dont make plastic models/RC cars lately but i will be using these tools when fabricating brakets and installing interior stuff in my real cars.

drove the GD today to work in the pouring rain. i found out that the new MINI's are about 22inches shorter than my 370Z so this will make ample room inside the garage to accomodate bicycles. by next year i need to make room for 2 adult and 2 kids bicycles.

Indeed!

I'm going to stop by carmax probably tonight to get the car appraised. I'm also going to honda to see wat they can give me as well. I checked out some MINI's yesterday. Hummmmm... not too impressed with the looks. The ride is great. I may just end up keeping the G as my dd for now...I should've wired up a rear view camera on the G when I did the HU install....I didn't think I would use the G as my dd so didn't bother installing.

pulled everything out of the GD today. kind of a bitter sweet day today.

overall the car did very well as a dd and some motoring in the winter months. ive had it for over 3.5yrs and a hair above 26k miles.

i'd recommend both GD and GE to anyone looking for an economical QUALITY product that is very practical, reliable, and easy to own.

the only things i did not like about the GD was the non-telescoping steering wheel and tach on the left of the cluster instead of center like on most performance cars. also the lack of power (well for me at least) in the summer months was frustrating, but not everyone drives like me.

what i liked most about the GD was the easy in/out for kids, huge cargo space not only to carry strollers and baby stuff, but to haul real stuff on occasion. .. while having fun driving.

My other FitSport (GE) will remain in the family for at least another 2-3yrs.

i placed the kid's recaro booster seats in my G35C this am and will be using her as my primary car starting tomorrow. i still have my stock wheels so will wrap them with snow tires when it's time. she's a 7yr old car with only 26K miles as i only drove her on the weekends. with my 370Z as my hobby car ive drove her even less the last 2yrs. lol

will drive the G35C until she hits 40-45K miles and will sell for something nice... maybe the next gen G-coupe or maybe a new M3.

So the GD is gone and this will be one of the last posts for the blog. Thanks for reading and following along the long journey.

I will post in the other forums off and on but since I have no plans to mod the GE you may not see me much.

Good luck to everyone. Let me know (pm me) if anyone's interested in the snow wheel set.

hey so tomorrow im meeting up with a member here to sell my snow tire set. taking my GE for sure, no way am i taking that in my G35C. lol

so yesterday i hopped on over to the local store to pickup three 5qt jugs of Mobil1. 5W30's for my G and Z, and 5W20 for my GE. yah, i was thinking about just using dino oil on the Fit but then wife was saying some crap like she wants to drive the GE for another 5yrs ?? (which im hoping is a joke) so i better keep the engine happy. lol. not that there's anything wrong with the GE, i just hate the AT on the thing. it is a very economical and pratcial car so i guess heck, why not?
keep it longer and my older kid can buy it from dad as his first car. jk jk

last weekend i drove over to tirerack in south bend to get new Bridgestone S04 pole positions wrapped on my G35C's SSR WERFEN wheels. i had RE050A pole positions on there before and im happy with the new S04's. there were no surprises, they look just as good or better too.

and earlier this week i got a flavor for pushing out the wheels further so pulled out my Kics and H&R spacers (over 15mm i use non Kics as Kics get kinda heavy) and pushed out the wheels very flush but not 'hellaflush' or poking out cause i didnt want my pretty car to look riced. she looks beautiful.

no word yet from Mine's on my CF rear lip for my 370Z. they had a bad lot so re-doing them and so i should have mine maybe next month...hopefully!

other then that, not much going on. buddy of mine wants to get a used cayman with 30K miles going at about $35K. im like a eurocar with such miles it's life is already over past its worklife. get a new one or get something else. lol

did the oil change on the G the other day using mobil1 silver cap, going to do the Z's oil change later this pm. my GE has about 30% life left so probably end of this month i will do that oil change as well.

otherwise, perfect weather here last weekend so motored my 370Z every day.

thinking about going over to homedepot again today in my GE as well after lunch. need to get more casters for our heavy duty wire shelves in the basement. i found out they sell ones that are fully compatible with the threads on the bottom.

will be doing a quick polish and seal later this week on the GE using Griot's one-step paint sealant. it has mild abrasives so it's literally a one-step process if you use a random orbital like me. very quick and effective. i dont bother washing the pads after this app and just toss it. makes it even easier. hahaha

washed the GE yesterday. looked great this am. i only used some PrimaHydro this time but even that makes the white look real nice.

also did the Z's oil change yesterday and recycled the oil bottles.

So this am I moved the GE out of the way to pull out my Z... only to find gauges on the GE's front lip near the bottom. asked the wife wat happened cause when I washed the GE a couple of days ago I did not see the damage. She accidentally went too deep in the parking spot and hit the tire stop. Hahaha. .

Will fix later today. I may need to get a can of factory matched paint from paintscratch or paintworld. Shall find out later.

Work will include cutting off dangling plastic, spot bondo (if needed) sand, prime, mask, and paint.
