tubaman- VIN = vehicle identification number basically it's your car's serial number. hope that helps.
been away for a few days.... been a crazy month already. probably wont be posting as frequently as i have in the past for a few months due to heavy work load, and just tons of family stuff im doing this spring and summer.
im also going to start on a remodeling project upstairs in the master bedroom in a few weeks so that will take up most of my weekends and evenings when im not playing my keyboards in the music room or out motoring my cars.

Took the GD to work today... summer tires are great. Much snappier and responsive.
Been going to work in my G.
The bad about the fit is I relax too much. Its like you let your fat belly go and relax too much...too casual. Its like giving up before you even start something. I need more mainstream feel something a tad more serious with an edge. I donno but you guys but I worry im going to become this fat middle aged loser.

There might be some serious quakes that might take place between tomorrow and next Sat due to super moon... seems the last major tsunami in asia back in 2005 was also related to this.
Some experts say the next location is the west coast of usa... I have no scientific data but search earthquake and super moon...

Been a while since my last post.
been motoring my GD the last few days with the summer tires and has been great. I setup my appointment for the GE. I think there's really no recall but just to get me in the show room....

Got some freezing rain the other night so salt on the roads again. Not too bad when driving home in my fit this pm so planning to pull out the Z tomorrow.
Need to order up some paint sealant and pads from Griots next week. Griots is doing a free shipping special till July4th so taking advantage of that.

Went to the local hardware today in my GD to pickup some paint. Need to do the kitchen and garage ceiling as soon as it gets warmer. Then paint a few of the upper floor rooms.
Also picked up some chinese tonight. Good food.
GD pretty much saw redline each time.
motored the Z this am so the Fit felt super slow...but it was entertaining.

swapped the GE's back to summer wheelset. 16's look good on the car.
also cleaned up the interior too in both the GE and GD, especially the glass.
will wash the floormats when i finally get around to washing the car later this month.
got my Griot's goodies too, like their One-Step-Sealant. will apply using my random
orbital so it will be taking out contaminants and dealer induced swirls (from the last washing they did during the recall..).

if anyone's interested in how to use these 3M DiNoc wraps, here's a quick DIY...
i got the sheets from www.carbonfibergear.com
Tools: (emboss heatgun on the left)

1. General shape + getting the switch control holes. i used one of my earlier templates to
get the switch control holes. the outer lines are just for general shape.

2. Cut out the switch control holes...give the corners some radius.
3. Position the DiNoc, press down.

4. Give it some heat with the emboss heatgun (it's low heat and unlike a hair drier
it doesnt blow air that much so easier to use).

5. Give it more heat and wrap-over to the back side a section at a time.
The emboss heatgun stands up on its own so use both hands to work
on the wrap.

(backside)

Trim off the excess, apply heat and press onto the switch trim. You can also reinforce the
backside of the wrap with a high heat glue gun.

6. Done...

Been taking my G to work the last few days.
today on the way home some stupid middleaged woman in an audi almost hit my car while going uphill from a stop at a RR crossing. She kept rolling back and stalling and if it wasn't for the nice guy behind me giving me room to roll back each time she stalled she would've been on my front bumper. If it was in my GD I would've turned the car so that she'd hit my blemished passenger side fender for a free repair.
hahaha

Day went by in a flash. Too busy lately...anyway I've noticed super stupid slow drivers lately...im thinking maybe its due to the gas prices, not sure. Anyway they're not doing any long term favors for their cars as expected by poor people only looking at their unplanned unarticulated immediate future. Sure you might save some nickels and dimes today but your engine oil temp may not get to the optimum resulting in corrosion in the internals and exhaust system corroding due to moisture. Will cost hundreds more later to repair. Also you may not charge your battery enough due to low rpm and short distances which will cost you more money for a tow truck or new battery. Your brakes will become glazed with crap from the light braking too.
Just drive normally and get the hell off the road when people are going to work. That said my GD was seeing 4k+ rpms frequently today just to keep it going.
car feels too frikken slow.
