motored the Z this am and took some snaps... didnt have time to post them up yet.

i noticed that the mounting tape wasn't doing as well as it should on that CF splitter so i added a total of 5 mounting bolts and nuts this am. now it is super secure.

i managed to scuff one of the Weds today (tire actually got sliced a little but on the sidewall as there was some metal sticking out from the curb) so going to order a new one with a new tire mounted... hope they have these in the US... only the surface got sliced and no radial visible through the cut so i think it's fine with some cement but i rather have this one as my spare now.

motored my GD to the restaurant tonight to pickup some mexican food. unlike my Z i can really relax and not think/worry about anything while driving so it was a relaxing drive. i also saw a MS3 in black and also one in red. not bad. i guess black would be my color of choice if i get one.

Hey Ken, its been awhile since I've browsed this thread, and I have to say: I LOVE THE WEDS! Great choice in wheels, Its good to see some people like to pay a little extra for quality, and you can try contact Touge Factory or Fizz Autosports (Both in Chicago) for a replacement wheel.

If you're looking to get rid of your GD....I'm interested

hey mike- thanks for the info and offer to help. i will check them out later on. yah, the SA55M's are great. they offer a perfect size and offset for the stock height Z.

about the GD, the passenger fender needs to be resurfaced and painted. also there's some scuffs on the front bumper. to most people they can't see it, (i can't see it some times) but it's definitely there. im thinking i want 11K for the car if i do sell. I will bring it into CarMax and also one of the mazda dealers locally to see wat they want to give me if i decide to get the MS3.

as for the finished picts...

never mind the crappy exposure.. i need to getz me a DSLR.

Yum. And i'll definitely consider buying yours if I can't find one in one of the three colors I'm looking for.

sounds good. i have all stock bits EXCEPT for the wheels/tires which i sold. at 11K i can also throw in the snow's with the ultimate stolen hub-cap look (black steelies) if you want. LOL it has less than 3k miles on the tires so looks brand new for nice snow biting fun.

i recommend you get the rear fender rolled (unless you have a roll tool) if you plan on carrying heavy things. it rubs the sidewall when i have adults in the back.

im going to see if Fizz can roll it for me down the road if i decide to keep my GD. i think they do it for a small fee. cant remember how much.

I'm not sure how much they charge, but they do great work. Their S15....

And like I said, if I can't find any Tidewater, Blackberry or taffeta white Fit 5 speeds...I'll be in contact

yep, no worries if you dont buy my car. im actually not in a super rush at the moment while i figure out wth im going to do next. need to sit down and think...

so today picked up some rubber cement and fastensers to replenish my bits box.
i didnt know rubber cement dries inside the tube even with the cap tightly screwed on. was going to use that yesterday to fix that thin flapping rubber on the ContiDW sidewall (not thick enough to penetrate the radial so structually sound) but ended up using superglue which i know will crack off in a few hundred miles. hope by that time my new weds and tires will be on the car.

using super glue on tires reminded me of working on my RC cars. hahaha.

so i setup an appointment to do the GE's hvac fix. the girl on the other end checked a list of TSB's on the 2009's but did not find it (09-097).

i hope they have the parts in-house so that i dont have to make another trip. i dont have time to be dealing with this kind of shit. the whole reason behind buying a made-in-japan honda was not to have these silly issues. well, this is strike2 for the GE. My GD already struck out due to 3 recalls already. hahaha.

recently overall honda quality has gone down the drain for me (canada made, american made, and japanese made). waaay too many recalls (both 08 and 09 Fits, past honda's in the last 10yrs spent time at the dealer just for warranty repairs) waay to many little annoyances. i dont think i will be buying another honda next especially now that the new lineup looks kinda crappy.

if im going to be dealing with this visiting dealer crap anyway i rather broaden my horizon and have a larger brand selection and models (does not include toyota as i hate the brand for their crappy design and dull driving dynamics).

so looking at my work schedule and all, i got a SUPER BUSY schedule for june... not only work at the office and short biz trips, but projects at home that was postponed earlier this month and late last month due to the lower temps outside.

painting, repairing caulk, repairing cracks in the drywall, more painting, and more painting... now that temps are finally going to be over 70-80F consistently. geeezz... not looking forward to june. hahahaha. hope i get to the bottom of my Fit situation by then. (fix GE, decide wat to do with GD).

pretty much everything not going to plan today...just one of those shitty days.

so the dealer thinks that replacing just the resistor on the hvac fan control is going to fix my broken hvac1-3 speeds. if the amp value changed i suppose, but the root cause is the blower pulling too many amps vs the resistor rating... these two parts work hand in hand.

i tried explaining this to the tired clerk at the service counter but he was reluctant to listen or even take down the TSB number. he said the blower works (no duh) so their store would not allow him to order the blower... basically he says he is not allowed to order the correct parts noted on the TSB to replace.

i told the wife chances are this problem will happen again and strike3 means im selling the GE. i dont have time to be dealing with this shit over and over again.

Ok so today was helping the wife pickup like 10 desktops from her client along with those heavy duty wire rack shelvings. Took the GD on the 45 mile one way trip through some frikken narrow city side streets and shit since roads were super contested with construction and idiots crashing to each other.

The GD just took it like a champ carrying all the gear with ample space left. Once we got home we dropped off our heavy duty racks and loaded up our kids and grabbed supper and went to her office to drop off the pc's. . Plus with cool weather today the engine had plently of torque.

looks like my replacement weds with tire mounted arrived to replace my curbed one. will install tonight.

the curbed one has a 12mm scratch on it which i touched up. from 5ft it's hard to tell so will keep this one as my spare.

The replacement weds is now installed and my Z is back to perfect again...
Hope to sell most of my GD stuff this week. I suppose I can sell the red hazard sw and coin holder for cheap. I need to find the DIY again so that I don't scuff the red hazard sw while removing.

This weekend I want to swap back to the stock stereo... I suppose remove the hazard sw then.
