texas- you're entitled to your views and opinions and i dont think anyone takes offense.

the only way to succeed is to prepare one's self and create the opportunity. jump on it and run like hell with it when one finds the opportunity. success is half preparation and half luck. losers dont prepare and just whine and wait to be fed. but when luck really comes around for them, they're not prepared or dont even notice it was their turn. missing out again and again...

that's not anyone's fault but their own.

Partner I agree with what you are saying... I just don't see that lower income people are who is creating the high prices and taxes, but are the scapegoats that take the heat off of those that are responsible for the downward slope the majority of the country is riding at this point in time.... It has always been this way as far as I have seen and been told by older people when I was young but is so much more blatant and in our faces these days and the lies are just now being challenged.... I have avoided taking sides because both sides are really against we the people. I do know the kind of people you are referring to.. I think people that have very little, come across like they do because there are really no doors opened to them and they see it as being a power thing to be offensive to those that have prospered... A lot of them don't know better and are products of generations of people that couldn't play a game that was stacked against them... A lot of them would give their favorite shirts off of their backs to another person that needed it more that they did..

yep. i just want to be clear that im not saying low income people automatically = losers.

but if you drive a pos car slow in rush hour slowing everyone down or put stupid bumper stickers one can't even really support, you are automatically a loser. hahahaha if one just sits on his/her fat arse and complain all day about everyone else, that's an all time loser.

have a nice evening, texas!

thanks, texas.

so this am while cruising to work i got a close look at the genesis full sized sedan driving in front of me. i know it's been around for some time now, but i dont know much about the car and so not sure if there are 2 sedans (mid-sized and full sized) or just one full sized. i just dont like hyundai's /kia's in general based on actual experience driving them due to hertz going cheap.

anyway, this one appeared to have all the bells and whistles unlike the genesis sedan a neighbor down the street got earlier this summer. from the looks of it the car shares appearance from benz, lexus, and maybe a touch of infiniti and they appeared to have mutated the borrowed designs fairly well.

looking at how classy(?) or pretty(?) the car is, their hyundai emblem was a huge eye sore. i know the president or ceo of hyundai america wants to keep the genesis sedan under their hyundai brand, but come on.... if you're going to to release a car that's supposedly pretty nice looking, remove the damn 'hello i am a cheeze' emblem and give it a genesis specific elite emblem.

everything else appeared nice. i honestly felt it looked better than bimmers of today. looks alone, i think they got a winner... but it'd be tough explaining to your neighbors over and over again why you spent over $40K on a hyundai when you can get a 'nicer car.' nicer car to most bling folks who really know nothing about cars are like bimmers/benz/lex/inf, etc. not a hyundai.

get rid of the mutated honda emblem (aka hyundai "H"), confuse the public that Genesis is with the big boys. make the sale.

My friend's parents have a Genesis sedan, and I have to say it's not bad at all. The interior is quite nice and upscale. Hyundai definitely seems to be stepping up their game. I agree about the badges. I've seen two really clean Genesis coupes lately:

yah, the sedan was definitely up there as far as appearance. i'd have to sit and drive one to know the quality of the interior and ride, but it's quite different from the hyundai/kia's i had to borrow at hertz... the more reasons why they should give the genesis a separate emblem and separate from the rest of their offerings.

im not a fan of those hella flush low riders but thanks for sharing. ive seen some coupes in my area that were basically stock that looked pretty good.

almost got into a slight argument with the wife yesterday while we were missing communication back to back not knowing her blackberry service was in/out all frikken day. it's all over the news today that people around the globe have been having issues, now north america also having issues with their blackberry's.

had a frikken busy day as usual yesterday and had to make some immediate schedule changes while i was in a meeting.. so sent out my email to her via my DroidX with absolutely no issue, she didnt receive it on her bb (until 2hrs later), her email asking for my update didnt get to me for 5 frikken hrs! no wonder our conversation was screwed up when i finally stepped out and called her mobile asking wat the heck's going on. we had exchanged 3-4 emails that were completely missed/undelivered.

my communication/daily tasks/reminders are heavily relied upon technology so these gadgets better to work 24/7. a major glitch like this is unacceptable and will cause one to toss the device and just get another brand for sure. it's not like these things cost that much anyway. it's like a frikken calculator mentality these days. just swap out the SIM card and bye bye blackberry. that's how fast these devices can go.

hope they fix this problem very soon.

no car action today. it's been raining off and on and my G needs a wash... maybe tomorrow.

yah seems like bb finally fixed the problem... better be permanently..

other than the keypads and security there's no benefit of owning a bb these days.

^^ i was hoping someone with a bb would state otherwise. lol hahaha. ive been a bb user since 2006 for work. it's netted me A LOT of business through it so it's been a life changer for the company. i personally stopped using bb at home because it reminded me too much of work even if i was surfing the net with it for fun. the downloading was slow so i bought a DroidX last year and haven't looked back.

in other news, ordered up an economical all-season floormat set for my G. i was hoping to get the weathertech ones but they dont offer one for my car so just got the regular rubber mats that are custom cut to size. i think it was like $85 or somethign shipped. hope to have by end of this month.

going to wash the G tonight. looks filthy right now from driving her in the rain and with all the dead leaves on the ground it's all over the wheel wells and stuff. yuk.

Motored my Z yesterday actually once in the am and once in the pm cause I knew it was going to rain this am. Anyway a nice lady complimented my Z while I was parked waiting for my kid. First time ever my Z got complimented by a non-greasy sweaty dood. hahaha. She said "gorgeous car!"

Today I might take her out again in the pm given it dries up. Otherwise going to hook her up to the battey manager and do a quick check on the fluids.

Looks like we got a dry week coming up which is perfect for my clean G. Saddens me when I wash the car on a friday and immediately gets rained on monday. Hahaha

Yah, roads dried up so took her out for a spin.

Also ordered up a secondary harddrive for my macbookpro. Its a 7200rpm HD I got for dirt cheap + adapter to mount inside the laptop where the optical drive currently resides. This way I can run my photography stuff off the less power hungry stock HD while at work and run music software for recording on the second hard drive when im in my music room all plugged in. . I also get a free external case and USB port for the optical drive I take out so I can still use it.

not much car action today. just looking forward to my drive home. at least it's not raining today.

tonight i need to box up a lot of my wine glasses in the kitchen cabinet to make room for more dishes. my kids are eating a lot and need the bigger deeper dishes now.

i use to drink more when i was younger but ive not drank much of any alcoholic beverages for a long time. i like to keep my head fresh as i want to concentrate on wat im doing. it's like i only have a few hours to spare everyday anyway, might as well make the most out of them.

hey so i read Lowes is closing in our area. not sure the entire chain or just a couple of stores but all i can say is that their store had the most passive-racist staff out of other stores ive been to for a long time. i haven't shopped there for years due to this.

here's wat i mean. obviously they dont come out to me and say racist things while im shopping. what they did was they ignored me...and quite intentionally. if i walk in there before another caucasian customer they would say 'hi' to the white guy and ask him if he needed help and i get ignored. i dont even get a hello.

ive had several instances like that at 2-3 of their locations. i thought perhaps it was just an isolated incident.... it was the same with the other staff inside the store! bunch of rednecks they hire, i guess.

obviously being the kinda guy that i am, i interupted the idiot by saying 'hello there, i was here first and i am looking for...' with native english and a bigarse one time the clerk was surprised i spoke english and helped me right away. another time another clerk even replied back 'excuse me sir, i am with another customer' and the other customer was nice enough to interupt the idiot and say to him 'actually he was here before me.' why would i want to spend money at a store like that when i can basically buy the same damn thing at another retailer or online??

i go to homedepot and have spent hundreds.. probably thousands on stuff for the house and garage. lowes will not be missed. they needed to train their staff better. put race and cultural differences aside and just help the customer individually. hell, i too dont want to be associated with some of those obnoxious asians i see often!! WTF. hahaha
