last night in the rain wife and i went to a parent/teacher conference for our older kid.
everything was fine other then the fact that i slammed the GE's door onto my left knee when i got back into the car after the meeting. was raining pretty hard so wanted to shut the door quickly. i forgot that the Fit is like 3" narrower inside vs my G and Z. f-king ached a good 3mins and was sore the rest of the night. wife put some ice on it for me so by morning it was much better. at least did not have limp any more.

and did not affect my clutch work in my Z this am so the GE was let off the hook. otherwise i wouldve seriously considered selling the damn car this weekend. im not a big fan of these Fits other than the utility these days...

took the GE out to some japanese last night for dinner. food was great. and GE parked in the 'compact car' lot so had priority parking near the restaurant. hahaha

this am motored my Z early, filled her up again, and washed/detailed her. took my time cleaning her up as today was the last drive of the season. going to pressure up the tires tomorrow and place her on flatstoppers. will give her a good week to dry before covering her up in the new quicksilver car cover.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Wife made us whole chicken. Was fantastic. Too much turkey last year.
I prefer chicken over turkey.

Been busy working on the basement the last few days putting up panels and cleaning. Looking real good.

I put away my Z a few days ago to hibernate. Cleaned her up real well and placed on flatstoppers, cleaned the interior glass, raised psi to 42+, plugged her into the battery manager. I cleaned up the garage and tried charging my old yellow top.

My basic charger keeps failing (voltage too low) so I'm going to hook it up to my battery manager tomorrow for 5 days while I take the G to work. I think the yellow top can still hold a charge.

Picked up some Indian tonight for dinner in my GE. great food. This entire week was good eating.

Was super tired today so the slow driving on AT felt good. For some reason I like AT driving at night.

so i plugged in my old yellow top to the battery manager last night and this am it was still charging so i might be able to revive it. it supports AGM type batteries so it should do the trick.

no car action today... just looking forward to my commute home.

My G got bombed on yesterday so cleaned her up real well. Like 6 bombs. I frikken hate non-edible birds.

Disposable gloves is very handy for such contaminated work.

Today nothing out of the ordinary, just a relaxing commute. my yellow top is still charging. Yay. . Will cover the Z in a day or so.

i need to clean the interior glass on the GE pretty soon... not really looking forward to that, but 10x easier to do than my G's glass especially the rear window...

blah, i put a volt meter on the yellow top and it's 8.4V. still quite a way to go. will put it on the manager again on monday. my regular charger would still not accept it yet.

last night i used SprayOn CarWash by griot's to clean the G. while the car looked pretty clean it was pretty dirty on the side and rear panels, so im glad i put in the effort. it only took me 28mins (equal to the time it takes me to bucket wash and dry the car) so im going to push for 25min next time. i need to order another gallon soon.

so after over a week of drying i dusted off my Z this am and put her car cover on. i use the quick silver cover and it's no problem covering over the ings+ cf splitter and the mine's cf rear wing tip. it doesnt pull at all on the side mirrors so no issue even with the craftssquare cf mirrors.

next time i will see her is end of the year when i will turn the tires by hand about 1/3 of a turn. she's on flatstoppers but i dont take my chances. plus i want to be sure there are no mice eating at the harness, etc. ive not seen any mice in my area but never know... they could waltz in while the garage is open when i pull in/out my G. lol these days cars use some sort of soy based products for seals and plastics it appears to attract mice.

drove the GE this am to run some errands. going to pull out the GE again this pm for more errands. it was raining and the car almost felt foreign to me since i hadn't driven it for some time. cleaned the interior a little bit and cleaned the inner glass.

morning commute felt good. looking forward to my commute home.

i plugged the yellow top again into my battery manager hoping to get the voltage up to atleast 10v by Friday. i should ask santa for a higher capacity charger compatible to AGM type batteries.

my daily activity bar's been dropping pretty quickly.

gotz my griots stuff today. going to check out the little mini-tool case thingie and if it looks okay (not damaged) going to wrap it up and place it under our xmas tree. (for me ofcourse). hahaha.

going to clean my G tonight using sprayon car wash. 25min is my target. it's going to get pretty cold (into the teens) so will do it tonight. with the garage closed and hot engine, it doesnt get that cold in the garage. actually by the time im done cleaning im breaking a sweat.

so last night i checked weatherbug and decided not to clean the car as it was pretty obvious it was going to snow late last night.

this am woke up to about 1/4" accumulation. glad i didnt clean the car as it wouldve just been a waste of my time and product.

im seeing that it's going to be above freezing over the weekend so going to hose off the G's wheels and suspension to wash off the salt. then proceed to clean the rest of the car using the sprayon car wash product in my garage.

pretty cold this am starting at 10F, high was only 25F and dropping. garage temp was 42F so i suppose i could've cleaned my G, but without rinsing the salt off the suspension bits it wasnt going to make much sense to me just making her look pretty on the outside.

would suck undressing a pretty girl and find dirty underwear. lol hahahaha. it's kinda like that to me.

anyway hopefully tomorrow it will get above freezing and i will blast water at my G and GE to rinse off the salt. we have rain in the forecast next week so i might wait until then. not sure. just want to get rid of that salt.

blah, rain in the forecast so didn't wash the GE today. but did clean the bird craps on the hood.

i used the sprayon car wash on my G in the garage today. she's going to get dirtied up again real soon but oh well. better to have one less layer of crap to wash next time i guess. hahaha.

hope everyone's having a good weekend.

my daily activity is dropping almost to 30%... yikes.

i need to get some coolant for my G. the reserve hose is appearantly leaking slightly (only enough to evaporate coolant) and im loosing coolant from the tube about a tea spoon per 2-3wks. i think during the next drain/fill im going to do in Spring, im going to get me a new tube or get new clamps for it.

nice heavy rain today. great way to wash off the salt. hope it dries up before the temps drop again so they dont spray icemelt all over again. im hoping to clean my G again this week but more rain expected next week so i may just pass it up this weekend.

looking forward to the commute home.
