I would get the WRX it's faster than the STI due to added weight of the trans and the complex 4wd differential. There was some vids on you tube. You can use the save 10k on Enduratechs and Volks. haha

really... dang...considering the weight of the STI, that's probably true.

i kinda prefer the shape of the STI over the WRX though... and im not really about speed these days.

another reason why im not sold on the STI... interior. if the STI's interior was nicer i would probably consider it but at the moment it's really no better than my modded FitS's interior other than the seats, imo. yah if you nippick im sure the STI's nicer, but in a boy-racer kinda shape interior, i say they are (in general) at about the same level. i donno maybe their leather seats would improve things. the only ones i saw were cloth.

The STI has more potential and way more goodies just beef up the suspension and you'd have an awesome grocery family fun machine.

Yep, the STI would be pretty much an all rounder glorified grocery getter...now is it really worth $34K? Not sure.

Did you get your Volks wrapped yet?

Is your deck broken? The Bose system is quite proprietory. The 5 volt low impedence line is quite difficult to match properly with out bringing in noise. I've been out of the field about 20 years now but, I'm sure not much has changed.

Also the factory decks use better parts then that of the aftermarket (better tolerance resisters, capacitors and tuner packs)

Try doing a google search for you car and oem. A lot of time some of the Big dealers will have spare units that they sell.

My advice stay oem or change everything.

hey i like to hear advise/opinions and that's wat i got so not going to scratch it out, just one direction to consider (keeping it stock)

i know there are issues with mis-matching with the bose system. from the readings i did at g35driver, the 5v seems to work ok with the bose amps. anything less than 4v the system starts to introduce noise as the input level is too low.

the kenwood is a bit pricy to spend on a 5yr old car so it'll probably be the eclipse or jvc... if i decide to take this route.

hey i cleaned my interior of my FitS. nice and clean again. i need to redo the trim around the HU... for some reason (probably the sun last week) the trim went out of alignment by about 3mm so it looks like a halfarsed install job. hahaha.

shall work on that maybe on the weekend.

otherwise, not too much car action planned for today...

It's really weird. No wind at all and a very misting type rain almost like fog. I hope that's all. It feels like the calm before the storm but, I think that's it the Tropical depression fizzling out right on top of us (Oahu).

huh, glad to hear it's just drizzling... yeh, hope it does go away without craziness. many people in taiwan and japan died over the weekend from their typhoon ordeal. that's just too much rain in short period of time.

considering last year this year has been super calm for us over here. hope it stays this way for a long time. but our winter last year/this year was LONG. snow after snow after snow...
