Went motoring my G.
was great. Can't decide which I like better, G or the Z. Both are so different and great in different ways.
Been pretty windy and dusty outside I kinda want to was my Fit's but its suppose to rain tomorrow and a couple more days next week. Hummmm...

So motored my Z again this am and today I shut-off the auto-rev match feature on the 6MT to see how it drives under my full control.
Much smoother.
. Yes, smoother with no auto rev-match, me blipping the throttle manually.
The biggest difference is when driving not so aggressively you don't fully cut-off the throttle when engaging the lower gear. With syncro rev-match it cuts off throttle completely after you let out the clutch so for most heel and toe downshifts in the streets it gets a tad abruptive AFTER engagement.
.
So unless I'm going to be racing on the track where I must have consistent hard braking, I think I'm going to shut this off.
The kenchan beats computer.
Oh, and another thing I wanted to note... Kinda irritating too. Some jag-off in a jag (hense his name) was using his highbeam as driving lights in the middle of the day driving on a 2lane hwy. Speedlimit is 55mph. He was in the oncoming lane and I needed to make a left turn.
I have to tell you that highbeams are too bright even during the day where your eyes kinda blend both headlight illumination together. This makes it MORE DIFFICULT to judge how far you really are.
So, if you are one of them
, do urself a favor and stop running highbeams and run your headlights if you must during the day.
Also wanted to let you guy know bicycle riders are f-king annoying.
. Hahaha
Ok, going to take a nap.

Taking a day off today (actually for the next 2 days
) so going to be pulling out the G to brake in those brake pads and then going for a nice drive.
But before that, it's Monday so I need to vac the house. Lol...well, its still damp outside from yesterday's rain and rushhour so no biggie.
I ordered the gentex mirror with homelink and compass for my Z. Hope to install it before the weekend.
should be pretty easy.
I'm also checking to see if this other store can give me a deal on the gentex mirror with just the compass. My wife' been asking for that for a while to install on the GE. I know there's ones with temperature but my wife hasn't been real picky about it so wanted to save some $.
For my FitS? Naw, since my window's tinted I don't need autodimming.

gave the new endless pads a nice drive. after cycling the brakes to bed them in, i went back and checked my work, brake fluid level, retorqued my lugs...then went out for a nice spin. after about 15miles these brakes started to grab real nice.
they actually stop the car better than the stock brembo pads. not sure about the
dust as it's still brand new, but as long as they dont dust any more than the
brembo's im good to go.
im glad i got them.

went shopping this pm over to target to do my groceries and household stuff. have to say the FitS is excellent for daily tasks. boom boom boom and everything fit nicely into the cargo area.
imaging someone with only a G or Z doing this with their car. lol
i would hate that.
no place to put a large bundle of papertowels or toiletpaper. the Fit's for real people.

so this am needed to take care of some errands and then did my G's micron filter
change along with the glove box hinge fix.
since i need to remove the glove box
to get to the micron filter i thought i'd be a good time to fix the hinge.
the pin that keeps the hinges together started to wear out and the glove box started
to rattle over rough roads. i used a large machine screw as the pin and some thread
lock to loosely tighten down a nut to prevent the screw from backing out. no more
rattles.
then went over the entire dash with some Prima Nero to clean it up at the end.
need to go to the airport again this pm, taking my FitS. hope the rear tires dont
rub too much this time from all the load. lol

The trip back from the airport... Still rubbed the rear on large dips but otherwise no prob.
. A couple more of these trips and I'm all set(?).
. Lol
Not much going on today. My younger ones not feeling too good today so looking after him. I suppose if he feels better in the pm ill sit him in the Z and we can work on the rearview mirror install.

my kid hadn't recovered from his illness so waited until my wife got home to do the mirror install.
it's the gentex auto-dimming mirror with compass and homelink.
went out motoring tonight in the Z to get the mirror self-calibrated. just drive around the block a couple of times and it just calibrates itself. then check the zone to make sure you're in the correct calibrated location. walla. also programmed the homelink.
my auto-dimming compass mirror should be coming in by the weekend for the GE.
expecting my aluminum pedals for my Z tomorrow.
after i install that i think im pretty much done for the Z. i think i like the V1 on the dash on this car so im going to hard wire that too this weekend.

gotz my tracking number for the gentex compass mirror for my GE8....
hope to see it tomorrow so that i can finally install it for the wifey.
tonight i might decide to hardwire my V1 on the Z. not sure
how im going to route the cord yet since i want the V1 close to
the dash (cluster), not up in the ceiling area. and i dont want
to buy that remote accessory thing from V1...already spent
$400 on that detector... i dont want to spend more $$$ lol

Hardwired the V1, but since I'm using the coilcord it looks like it's just hooked up to the cigarette lighter socket.
hahaha
At least I no longer have a dangling cord over on the passenger side.
The V1 is in direct line of sight so very easy to see.

Kinda damp this am, hoping that the sun comes out soon to dry the roads and to prevent fog...
Planning to pull out the Z this am followed by a QD session, then do some laundry before lunch. By that time I SHOULD receive my gentex mirror in the mail for the GE so hoping to install that this afternoon.
I noticed I've not taken one pict of my GE since it's bonestock. Ill snap some shots after I do the install, I suppose.
Hey tanuki, my neighbor recently returned her 3yr old leased Murano for a new Rogue.
. Looks kinda small like a CRV or something?

btw, for those that want to try this on their 2009 Fit, follow this DIY by ratedz.
for mine i only needed switched 12v and ground so only 2 conductors. for the ones with
homelink you'll need the constant 12v (as ratedz's mirror) as well so 3 conductors.
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...tml#post753906
btw...from start to finish probably took me no more than 25-30min to do.
