Not too much going on as far as car things today, but did motor to and from work in my FitS today.
. Basically my highlight(s) of the day.
Was kinda hot and humid so power was robbed from the engine, but with the MT not too bad taking off the line. (Not taking off the line as in "launching"
).

Ha ha! Try temps near 100 degrees and we are nowhere NEAR summer ending...we will have at least another month of this kind of heat. My poor Fit is lagging like she never has...and the lights dim when the AC compressor kicks in...
Wow, I feel like I'm burning up here in this high 80 low 90 weather. 1 hurricane and 1 tropical storm headed our way but, experts say it should die down to depressions when we get it Sunday. Kinda windy hot air blowing today.

Yah, I've been to houston in the summer so I know what your dealing with.
Hahahaha.
When I was there it was 104F and some of the bank sign thermometers were showing 115F lolz.
Hang in there!!!

it can feel real hot when you got humidity, that's for sure. In Houston it was over 100F and humidity was like over 75%. Thought I was going to die standing. Hahahahaha. Hope that storm dies down before it reaches you out there!

Gorgeous!
. Congrats, tanuki.
I like those protective shower caps they use too. SSR only gives us blue no-brand ones like the ones lunch ladies wear at the cafetria.
lol
Yah, I would postpone that until after the storm. Depending on how bad the storm is, I wouldn't even drive it.

Glad I didn't wash my car this am..especially in this 90F heat.
Was storming for a little while this pm and wouldve been pretty pissed. Hahaha
Did motor my G this am. Obvious but the heat and ac doesn't change this car's performance in these temps (I'm sure over 100F you can tell) so could enjoy completely without having to worry about running out of bandwidth.
was sunny, 85F, and quite humid during the drive.
Considering that I will need to motor my kids to Saturday school next spring I may just opt to keep my G longer. Can't carry kids in the 370Z.

school starts at a very inconvenient time for me cause drop-off at their bus stop is like 8am. If it was like 10am I could motor the 2seater early am and then drop them off in my FitS... In this situation, I would drop off the kids in the G and go motoring afterwards without coming home cause roads just get too busy after 9am on Sat.
2seaters aren't going to work for me in my current situation.
damn it. and I don't plan on changing my music day from sun to sat cause I hate to be interrupted during a session. 370Z's are so cool...

I did check out the STI with the buddy last week and it is made in Japan. Atleast the 09's are. He ended up getting a WRX hatch though, just the price difference and he just wanted a decent MT car with turbo.
I might consider the option of getting a STI. Its not a bad car but I just hate subaru's...well for the shitty experience I had with the legacy and the shitty dealer support. I've not had personal experience with owning a STI. Is it any different?
Another thing is I'm not really that young anymore so STI's might be too young for my blood. Hahahahahaha.
The other option is a TSX sedan...but the V6 version I want does not come with a MT... It won't be a "motoring" car at all with a AT on these straight roads. And I know the underpowered 4banger will only frustrate me even if it has MT.
More and more it looks like keeping my old lady (G) is the way to go...

not too much going on today as far as car things. i want to wash my FitS sometime this week for sure...it's pretty dirty.
im going to at least do some interior dusting today/tomorrow given that it's not raining. i drive around with the window open (have the mugen visors) so it gets pretty dusty in there quick.
i usually use my California InteriorDuster, but i might opt for my detailing MF towel instead and use dry. it does wonders to pickup dust AND it doesnt let it go until it's washed...plus i can get into the real tight areas. will Prima Clarity the cluster lens as well.
looking forward to the drive home.

Buy em now, their 2008 limited editions that didn't really take off so they're like 25 to 30% off. I was going to get the bronze when my friend told me about these the center caps come with it too. That's another 150 saved.
