im really diggin the weather the last few days. it's been very cool, borderline 'cold' and my Fit's response felt real good on the way home. with the mugen visors i shut off the a/c completely and just enjoy the nice cool air even in the rain.

hope it stays this way until fall. hahaha (yah right)

im planning a short road trip in my FitSW with the wife. kids are going to stay at grandma's. i think im going to stop by southbend and then move onto fort wayne.

so you guys are thinkng...wat the heck is in southbend? tanuki knows. hahaha. the others are like fort wayne??! yah, music guys know. (gonna check out the V-Piano at sweetwater later on at gearfest).

weatherchannel says rain tomorrow am, partly sunny by pm. i suppose if the landscapers aren't doing the lawn i might do the detailing tomorrow afternoon.

looks like i wont be doing much motoring this weekend. probably take the FitS out for some carryout again though.

it was kinda muggy this morning... with the a/c running at 70F in high humidity, it bogs the engine down so much on the FitS.
then add clutch shudder while the clutch is cold. can get a little unplesant. actually reminded me of my old modded 02 wrx. fast while cold, slow while hot...+ clutch shudder. hahaha

Wow, weather changes a lot there. Sounds, like the weekend plan went out the window, bummers. This weekend Sesame Street Live Yeehah!!

Hey, I got a experiment for you. If you have any duplicate cds color one around the edge with a green marker and the center clear area. Tell me if you can hear a difference.

Second test, get the largest washers you can find and place them over the transformer of your amp on a cloth on the outer case. listen, carefully.

Are you in to wires? Cardis, Kimber etc. find simular cables light(white, yellow) color vs. dark (black)

I have a tweaker friend, I want his Stax headphones or his tube headphone amp. His basic system costs more than the Fit. I have a old Grado.

Yah, ill test it for you when I have time. . One thing to remember though... the thing about stereo's is you need to have an acoustically controlled room and the right sized speakers to get the max sound out of the room. It doesn't matter how expensive or theoretically (ie: spec) "good" your system is if your room modes kill it...95%+ of the time (especially consumer stereo types) people don't understand this and buy the most expensive system they can buy. And the room sounds like crap. hahaha.

Just like modding a FitS, need to look at the entire picture before spending thousands on a set of wheels. That's all.

Its good to hear you are wantin to invest in headsets. One of the things I tell a lot of my music buddies is if you can't dedicate a room just for listening (doesn't matter how rich or poor the guy is), should invest in a nicest pair of reference headsets.

Yeh, weather does change quite a bit here...its ok, one less thing to do today. hahaha.

I agree total about the master plan and yes the reference headphones (one day). My rims happened by chance it was the only set with the right offset but, next time I'll still go with something that will last then a bargain.

My house is to small for a sound room so no high end stuff for me. I like the next to free mods though.

Any way, have a safe fun weekend. Today, preschool orientation yippee

yah, i wasn't putting you down about your wheel choice. heck i like those
wheels you got, definitely a nice choice.

for me the entire concept or 'purpose' of my FitS is basically a
dailydriver/utility/workhorse/shopping car so i dont want to spend much
money on it. it will be parked at THE BEST parking spot at the grocery
or shopping mall parking lot closest to the entrance hahaha. will be
parallel parked at times in the city, hotels, airports, back alley of
restaurants, places ive never been before, etc. so i dont want to
have to worry about it.

preschool orientation already, huh?

So I woke a tad late so everything got shifted by 2hrs. Lol

I got a chance to motor my G this am but didn't get around to detailing my FitS...

What took so long was I got one of those cotton seeds stuck on the rear deck brake lamp from the drive on the G and it was a biotch getting it out of the car. First, coupes have a real sharp rear window angle so can't really reach behind there without a tool... And those friggen cotton seed things fall apart just as soon as you touch it..errrrr!

So decided to just temporarily remove the brake lamp and detailed the entire G's interior. hahaha. Which took like 1hr.

Will work on the FitS this pm. Good thing I'm using Griot's PaintSealant which can be applied in the sun as long as the panel isn't HOT to the touch. . Going to seal the verticle window trims and mugen visors as well.

I know our Fit's don't come with leather, but if your other newer car (S2K or watever) you might have needs some leather treatment I use this stuff and highly recommend it:

Griot's LeatherCare Spray.
Car Care, Detail Supplies, Garage Organization, Car Accessories - Griot's Garage 800-345-5789

Just spray into your applicator MF towel and work the product into the leather. It will dry to a nice matte finish and you won't have to worry about cremes and crap getting onto your cloths. For areas that see the most wear use their regular LeatherCare in dabs.

You don't need much product to get great results so just get their small bottles. . My G's 5yrs old but looks new inside and out.

looks great. i took picts from my bb...if they look decent i'll post them up.

the Meguiar's blue clay is good stuff. i used the maroon bottle pos meg's QD as lube.

was trying to take some decent picts, but due to the super-shine of Griot's PaintSealant + sunny weather, i couldn't get a good shot. (not only do i suck at taking picts, my camera doesnt really allow me to take good picts in the sun... or maybe i just dont know how to work the camera.. regardless, i could not get a good shot.).

but craps, they are doing construction work nearby so my car's going to be all dusty by tonight.

hahaha lol

crapola, i was about to place my next wheel order to tirerack with some s-drives 195/50/15's and they have less than 2 of the tires. lolz.

i suppose their free Griot'sGarage washbucket promo with a purchase of four S-Drives drove this sell-out.

Wow, you had a busy week end. My poor Fit got neglected. My daughter (2 1/2 y.o.), enjoyed Sesame Street Live more than last year she was shouting the numbers and letters, which shocked my wife and I. Her new preschool looks really classy I wish I could start all over.

So, what kind of wheels did you choose? I see your not to fond of of the new TE37 look.

good to hear about your daughter's advanced number and
letter reading skillz. it's defintely exciting when your kids start
talking... but can get extremely annoying in the near future.
hahahaha mommy daddy, why? why? why? why? why?

SHUSHH! .....why?

im thinking about the cheezo TR wheel in 15x7. but the tire
is an issue now... should've bought them in the first place
before getting the Rota's from my buddy's shop. hummm...
checking with my buddy Alex over there at TR on timing for the
next ETA of S-drives.

anyone have experience with Fusion ZRi tires? suppose to be
the next best tire in that price range... DZ101's dont do well
in the wet so i can't use that. rains all the time here.

Good luck with the tires. Ask Mini he seems to try all sorts of tires. He's the tire wheel guru. For me if I didn't do part time SCCA I would have gone sdrives or the Generals UHPs. Looking at this Yokohama's S.drive Lands In North America
I'd choose the Fusions looks best for rain.

yah, MINI-Fit is definitely the tire guru...i know him from
NAM (MINI forum. ) him and i almost always agree on tires.

yah, since i need to be able to run in the rain i went with the
Fusions for now. i should have the set in a day or two.
im not familiar with these low-end tires so kinda testing the
waters.

now my slips are on sale. hope to make a quick sale.

Haha, that's to funny. We adopted our daughter from China in 11 2007. So we were thinking of keeping her familiar with Mandarin for a while but, decided not to confuse her. The only Japanese she know is urusai and yakamashi. haha nah, I'm only joking. It's funny being in Hawaii because a lot of slangs here is a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Hawaiian we call the language (pigeon) she going to learn this no matter what school she goes to.

That's to funny nande, why, nande, why, yakamashi das (that's) why.

that's cool that you adopted. i know a family down the street
with grand kids adopted from SouthKorea. they grow up like everyone
else, no different.

hahaha! your daughter's funny. kids are a lot of fun. i always
wondered what the main language is in Hawaii. now i know.

...still no catch for the rota slip's...
