was raining pretty hard. definitely fun driving the FitS in the rain. im glad that my
enduratechs are soft sprung cause even with the cheezo ziex912 tires it still grips
quite well through the turns in the wet.

Thanks to rain this week, things have been pretty calm as far as dust from the local construction site. They were pouring concrete this am so it might be over before the weekend.

Now I need the weather to cooperate so that I can detail the white FitS.......!

Post your rims on your local SCCA forum I think a lot of Miatas, Minis and Civics look for cheap race wheels. If shipping to Hawaii wasn't as much as the wheels I'd buy it.

Oh, and take a picture of the wheel only. That brown tinge you mentioned really show on your car.

my new set of wheels and tires....more picts in my album....

for a cheepo-arse wheelset, i luv them. hahaha! it's simple,
it's unique (no one has them that i know), it doesnt have any
expensive over-kill image, no rubbage.

i have to say the Fusions ZRi (even though it's not fully
broken in yet) already grips 10x better than the pos
Ziex912's i was running before.

now i dont have to worry much about slippage while taking
off the line in the rain. the ziex912's sucked so bad over
painted lines on the road i had to take it like going over a
R/R crossing. no more! was great driving to work this am.

the Fusions, although very cheap, runs more inline with the tires
that i usually run for street on my hobby cars... ie: RE050A
PolePosition, Dunlop SportMax, PilotSports, the old GS-D3's,
S03's, etc. etc.

It's been a while since the last time I drove the FitSW (my 09) AT.

I have to say I like the car. althought it's AT and the paddles pretty much a joke/cheap toy to me, it is functional and useful for downshifting to slowdown the car so that you are in somewat control of the car like a MT. I give the throttle a quick blip, downshift smoothly to the lower gear.

For a guy that drives MT all the time not having engine braking is scarey. It's like you let off the gas and the car keep going and going and going. And to rely completely on the brakes for slowing down the car is just plain irritating.

I tried several modes on the AT and the best is to keep it in D and use the paddles from time to time as needed to prep for a turn, etc...let the AT shift up on its own.

The worst is when you are in S mode, on the paddles and you need to make a turn from a stop. I'm sitting there reaching for the gear lever to shift into 2nd only to remember I need to press the ADD lever (+) ... But the frikken lever is nowhere to be found cause the steering wheel is turned. LOL! WTF! so just keep it in D mode and let it shift up.

It wasn't too bad driving AT, but sure needs getting use to. Hahaha

no takers on the ROTA's. hahaha oh well.

will go into storage tonight. it's taking up room in my garage.
think im going to spray them all graphite, wrap some snows
and use the set for winter.

i need to hardwire my old passport in the FitSW pretty soon...
and also wire up a small LED around the cup holder. not sure
if i'll get a chance to do it this weekend, but soooon.

i heard the wife's taking the car on Sat so no detailing this
weekend. oh wellz.
