man my shifts were very unsmooth this am.... not sure wat's
going on. LOL

well, it's the warmer/humid temps that's playing with the
ECU's fuel mapping. the response on the throttle is a tad
different this am vs where it was last night and those minute
changes can make my seamless shifts pretty rocky at time. hahaha

Fitcapo- yah, it's very nice outside today. cool, not cold, kinda
damp from the morning dew.

if it could've rained today and sunny tomorrow i could've
pulled out my G with the summer wheels/tires... there's still
too much roadsalt left. oh well... maybe next weekend.

I don't have a G to pull out of my garage but I will probably go to the diy wash today and just hose the fit down quick.

alexfree05 PM me and said he accidentally hit the bad rep button... oh well... shitola happens right?

a little OT since we got some music guys here...

so last night i stopped by my local RadioShack to
pickup a gold plated Y-adapter for my mixer... yah, i
use the original Mackie1604 from the days and it's
missing the ControlRoom output for my studio monitors
that its successors have.

i had been using my main-outputs as my monitor outs.
it was fine cause the recording side was done via digital
line that was completely isolated from the analog mixer,
but this new Alesis MasterLink i recently bought as my
master recorder does not support the Type2 (SPDIF
protocol from my instrument... or any SPDIF for that
matter for some reason although it has a RCA type
coax input. )

so i need to use the mixer's main-outputs and record
via analog inputs on the MasterLink...which is fine cause
the resolution is very high and my setup has barely any
noise.

now that im running analog into the mastering machine
i need to use the headphone outputs as my monitor
outs. (Mackie uses 2 identical amps for the main-outs
and headphone outs so the sound is very clear and has
a lot of power).

i tried my typical insert cables (y-cord) but the winds
inside the cord is reversed on the send and returns...
so i can sort of notice a difference in the ambiance of
the sound as the phase is slightly shifted...plus the
sound quality diminished.

now with this y-adapter that splits TRS to left and right
female RCA outs, i can use my regular high-end RCA
cords to send to the room acoustic EQ which also
accepts RCA prior to the studio monitors.

now im all set. started laying down some tracks
this am for my next project.

thermostat installed on your floor.

i look at my sig and notice my hobby cars are getting pretty
old... 03 and 04... the last car i had for 6yrs was my Gen5
Prelude. was an awesome car.

neway, i think my fun cars are timeless (to me) so im going
to keep them for another 2+yrs i thinks.

Hmmm if I had some fun cars I would get a hyundai genesis coupe when it came out. Then I would have a big truck. Those would be my fun cars but I will never have enough money for 3 cars unless I win the lottery so tough crap for now for me lol.

hey Fitcapo- i saw a white genesis coupe maybe a week
or two ago. it looked mighty fine. hope that car
doesn't get canned by the economy. i still think the
370Z will get canned in the next year. We are almost
at the same phase where we were back in the early 90's
when the 300ZX was just released in a recession...
then cancelled within 2yrs or something.

having several cars can become a 'task' as far as taking
care of them if you are somewhat anal like me, so it
can be fun but it can also become a headache if you're
not careful.

i got 2 kids and now with this music im doing lately
i have even less time to play with my cars so i guess
this slow economy came at a good time(?)...

hey looks like TR has the s-drives back in stock at the indy
store again.

i think im going to order as soon as temps are back in the
40F's and higher. i want to fix my car first, then get the
new wheels for that 'final finished' look again. I first
need to put my summers on the G... too busy these days
mang...
