With about 3500 miles my Fit seems to have settled into a 35-37 mpg groove. 35 with the A/C on driving in city traffic and 37 with the A/C off cruising down the highway. But, it goes back to 35 when I'm on the interstate going 70 mph.

 

recomended is 32 (checked the door today) not sure what dunlop says to have the pressure at.. and your video cracks me up..

 

It's not just the Fit owners in CA that are getting low mpg. I live near Quincy, Illinois along the Mississippi river and the best mpg that I have gotten with my Fit Sport is 30 and that was once. My mpg averages between 24 and 27mpg. Most of my driving is highway (65 - 70 mph) I use the cruise on the highway alot and do alitlle in town driving and still don't see the high mpg. I'd be happy if I could get mid 30's.

I am confused with references to tank filling etc.
Surely there is a much easier way to judge your mpg and that is with regard to use of the inbuilt "odometer/trip meter/segment distance and and fuel mileage" guage.
I have a new Honda Jazz (about 3 months old) 1249cc manual 5 speed gearbox and am getting about 47 mpg - I have made an Excel spreadsheet to convert the clocked litres per 100km to mpg. Most drives which I make are of relatively low mileage and cover hilly/mountainous terrain.
In Cyprus the new Honda Jazzes are being sold with 7 years warranty (3 + 4)covering the engine and gearbox or 150,000 km whichever comes first. How does this compare with elsewhere?

 

what were ur numbers for the first 5 tank? probably never below 30 except first thank right? AT?

Ok...still not impressed with the milage. Last fill was 24.5 mpg with some admitted aggressive driving mixed in. Just refilled half a tank yesterday after alot of highway and still only got 29.5mpg. 90% of the reason for choosing this over some comparable cars was the fuel efficiency. Car has 3100 miles on it and was expecting at least 33 highway by now. Of course it pulls to the right and looks like the suspension has dropped a solid inch or more in the rear so perhaps something is wrong with that. I'm taking it in to the dealership next week for an oil change and to look at those issues. I really wouldnt mind having so little power if the mpg was worth it.

 

My average is between 30-32 mpg 70%hwy 30%city with the ac on and i drive between 65-80 mph. I have a heavy foot. The more I drive the car the more I like it. I have almost 3000 miles on it.

 

I took 3 trips of 12 hours a piece and averaged 42.8mpg all 3 trips

 

i'm at 4600 miles so far, and my lifetime total is 33.42. not too bad i suppose. that's about 40% highway, 30% a/c usage.

 

100% City, stop light or stop sign every quarter mile (welcome to Vancouver?). AC on 70% of the time

dang, that's way too low...I thought I was bad at 27 MPG local...after my first oil change if these mileage don't improve, I'm checking out the car at the dealers...anyone here still have bad MPG after the first oil change?? maybe this is another defect affecting certain Fit owners other than the peeling paint issue...

I don't have my Fit yet, but I am pretty sure the NA models do not have the fuel mileage feature in the odometer. That is why NA drivers have to use good old math to figure their mileage.

I filled up again tonight and got 31 MPG. It was 9.05 gallon fillup for 280 miles. Looking good so far. I can do better I'm sure, because I've been running it at high speeds to get all the hoses and transmission conditioned. One of these days I'll take it slow throughout the tank

 

I've gotten 24-26 MPG on two refills so far. Living in NYC sux for driving. Even our highways have horrendous traffic.
