I am getting my Fit in two days.

The car is finally sitting in my dealer's parking lot, just have to get all the license and paper working done before I pick it up on Thurs.

I probably have the longest waiting time, put down my deposit 03/25/2006, pickup date 06/08/2006.

 

Just wondering if profit margin is the reason Honda scaled back on Fit production. I heard the reason so many gas guzzling SUVs were produced is that the manufacturers made more $$ on them. I'm shocked that people who bought shortly before the first Fit delivery date (April 20) still have a long wait. I purchased an AT Sport on March 27 and thought the 3 week wait was awful! I really feel for people who are waiting, especially if the car you have is in bad shape. Other threads on the Forum talk about people trading in relatively new cars (like the xB) on a new Fit. Come on, Honda, have a heart! Beef up production!

 

i don't know the production date but i do know that the car was across town last night. so either it was delivered last night to the dealer or it's being delivered today.

but with your info.. it sounds bout right... i think it normally takes bout a month. i put my deposit on 4/28

 

I picked mine up last night!!! It's so great...looks like a mini-Civic Type R haha.
Black with HFP wheels! God, I love this car. I didn't remember it being so ROOMY inside! I can sit behind myself, I'm 6'11"! I'll get some pictures up in a little bit.

damn, im so jealous im still waiting on mine. they said it was on telephone rd last night at their warehouse

 

I put down my deposit on a Fit Sport on May first and took delivery on May 29th. The dealer asked for a $500 deposit. I ordered the car with no dealer options and that's how it was delivered.

It is good to hear of someone finally getting a Fit.

 

We ordered a Fit Sport MT 2 1/2 weeks ago. Today the salesman called and said maybe August.

 

Mission Valley Honda of San Diego got a VBP Base auto today...if anyone is interested.

 

Tomorrow will mark my 7th week of waiting

After a very long anxious wait I was finally able to drive my car home yesterday and alot people were looking in the car.. even this morning on the way to work. I feel so violated cause they were staring so hard.

 

dumb question - Does VBP stand for Vivid Blue or is a mechanical thing?

I got a call from my salesperson last Thursday to tell me that they had two automatics in. We went to see them on Saturday and they were both sold! Luckily the dealer had orders in and has been fighting for cars, so they had a shipment of I think 5 cars coming in (2 blue, one silver, one red). It should be here in 3 weeks. So, I gave them a check to hold one of the blue ones! Nearly two weeks go go!!!
