Should I be concerned that I haven't been given a specific date? I was told that there are two base model silver Fits that are on the pre-assigned list, and are due to come off of that list this week or next. THEN it will take 30 days for the car to actually come to the dealer. Does this sound right? How should I handle this? They've already cashed the 1K check I gave them to secure the car. I'm getting pretty nervous!

 

WHOA! I don't think they should have cashed the check.
Is that check not just to hold the car?
But don't get to worked up...Fits are hard to get and with limited supply and quirky production/delivery schedules from Honda dealers can't (or just won't) give customers exact dates. I just got lucky...as most have, right now.

I called the dealer posing as a new customer, asking if they had any storm silver base models in stock. She checked on inventory, said all they have now is a base and a sport in red and blue. She did say, however, that they should be getting the silver ones in about two weeks. Okay...how does this match up with the guy I spoke to earlier (see above)? Granted, these storm silvers could be coming in for other buyers who have a lock on them, but why would she give me this information? She even offered to call me when they came in. All I want is a specific date for my car to come in, uggghhH!

Finally....i spoke to my salesman and i told me that my car i coming in tomorow or wednesday morning and that he'll deliver it to me on thursday or friday....WOUHOU!!! So i'll post as soon as i get it....i'm waiting for that car since april 13th....two months, but i'll finally drive my sport silver mt

are u in markham as well? my fit is here and ready to be picked up on thursday...but parents not free till saturday...
