Paint Peeling from Front Bumper
Since claymore has already pointed out that we have strayed from the topic of this thread I'll send you a PM reply.
I decided to look at my bumpers yesterday on my 1100 mile old Fit and when I unscrewed the passenger rear bumper I saw the paint was worn away and was most likely going to become larger and be a bigger problem over time so I took some small washers and stuck them in all four corners and touched that area up with touch-up paint.
I don't think the washers were zinc plated but they were small and definitely separated the panels enough not to touch anymore and if they rust, I can't see them at all so it's not a big deal.
I definitely recommend doing this and thank this forum for the heads up to get this taken care of soon especially since I just paid a boat-load for the 3M film and would hate to have to rip that off for a repaint.
Took about 15 minutes.

If you wanted to mess with the hassle of trying to get Honda to warranty the issue, go that route.
Eventhough the paint on this car seems thin, I think the factory paint will hold up better to rock chips and scratches much better than a repaint so I would rather stick with the factory paint and put the washers in all four corners to separate the panels and then use the Honda touch-up paint to repair the small areas that bubbled or peeled. The Honda touch-up paint was a great match for my SSM paint.
Just my opinion.

Personally I would take it to the dealer and have it repainted then put the washers in to help keep it from happening again. I had no problem at all getting mine fixed.
I got mine fixed but...you know.
It's never the same after you take it to the dealer.
They ALWAYS screw something up...
and then you have to schedule a time to bring it back in and have it redone...which they will without fail screw up again.
people just don't take pride in their work anymore....
which is why we have this problem with our paint in the first place....

You are exactly right about people not taking pride anymore in their work.
All they want is for the shift to end and the paychecks to keep coming. Even though they should be docked for $hitty work!
I haven't had any problems with the dealership I purchased mine from. Guess that's why this is my second vehicle from them and my Mom purchased her second vehicle from them a few months later.
Neither one of us has had any problems with them. Granted it's a rarity to be able to say that about a dealership.

I am in the same boat!!!!
I noticed the paint peeling on those corners about a month or two after I bought my Fit. That was almost a year ago. I thought it was from the nose mask that I was using, but when I saw this post, I knew that that was not the reason. Thanks for all the info everyone. I will definitely be taking my Fit to the dealer. Has anyone else had any problems with the dealers not being willing to take care of the problem? Also, are any of you in Arizona and have you found success at one of the dealers in Phoenix? I bought mine at Honda Cars of Mesa. I will be calling them tomorrow to see what they say.

No peeling at the bumpers, but lots, and I mean lots, of chipping in the front bumper, hood and even the left headlight housing... It's getting to the point where I can't tell which are bugs and which are chips. There's literally hundreds of chips in various sizes peppered all over. I haven't even finished breaking in the engine yet
I expected chipping in the front spoiler/fog lamp area as it's closest to the road, but this is getting rediculous. I haven't even owned the car a whole month yet (picked up on April 18th) and I'm having these issues. I'm not even sure if going back to the dealer will do anything. Any time any of my friends have taken their cars to the dealer for paint work, their car comes back with orange peel, overspray or worse... I don't want to have my fix look worse than the problem. :?
BTW: Alabaster Silver Metallic, Fit Sport 5-MT with 3,100 kms

The paint does seem very thin on these cars and the fact there is reportedly no primer on the car is even more reason to spend the money on some sort of clear bra.
I've spent money on cars in the past to get repainted and they seem to chip even easier and larger than factory paint due to inferior paint processes and the curing method so I feel that the factory paint will still hold up better than an aftermarket paint job so it is worth protecting.
I doubt Honda will repaint your front as it is considered wear and tear for the fronts of cars to have paint chips but you could try.
If they repaint it, get the paint protection film after it cures and you should be good.

Have had my SSM for 1yr, 1 month now and was having a PDR guy look at it this weekend for minor door dings (birthday present to the car) when we noticed the paint peeling from the rear bumper. Damn it!!! Didn't check out the rest of the corners, 1 is more than enough. Guess I'll be calling Honda and then my dealership tomorrow.
