The product is great as is the service you receive from twpanson... I have found that using the ec5 mode is great for saving fuel as well as avoiding tickets for excessive exhaust noise and the responsive throttle of the sp7 mode gets you moving a lot quicker.....I wouldn't be able to enjoy my car nearly as much as I do without it.... Thank you again Panson.

I'm quite interested in this product. Of course I'll have fun with the SP settings, but I'm actually quite interested in the EC mode for city driving. City driving for me is the place I'd like to get the most improvement on MPG.
I think I heard someone said they got better mileage just keeping it in Sp3 and Texas Coyote, I heard you got 4MPG over using Ec5- that sounds awesome! Was this specifically driving in city or combined?
Anyone here who has it do any sort of tests for MPG?
Also, sorry if this is obvious or I missed this, but can you change the throttle settings on the fly? For example, could I be in EC5 during the city part of my commute, then kick it up to Sp5 to get on the highway?

Hey Zed... I seldom drive in an urban setting but mainly on rural roads, 2 lane highways and through small towns.... When I am in a large city I will use sp7 mode in order to jockey around to get into the lane I need to be in or around slower traffic on freeways and need to have quicker throttle response... That setting is a little too quick for relaxed driving in a stop and go situation in rush hour traffic but one of the lower settings in sp mode will allow you to still be able to move out well when you need to without looking like you are wanting to race from one signal light to the next.... The ec5 is the mode I seem to use the most mainly because my car is pretty loud and with slower throttle response it is possible to modulate the noise easily and still have the throttle open to 100% when the pedal is on the floor.... I have the KraftWerks high boost kit on my car and so I can user a lot of fuel in sp7 as well as put undue stress on the drive train components and wear on tires but it is a lot of fun on low traffic farm to market roads when conditions allow me to indulge in using the power on tap and then relax and give my car a break in an ec mode... Using sp7 all the time has gotten me a low MPG average of 27 and using ec5 most of the time on a tank of fuel is good for just over 33MPG... A ScanGauge is a great tool to use to see how much the setting you are using is affecting your mileage but the ETC also has a read out that displays the % of throttle opening you are using in the ec modes and is helpful for improving fuel mileage.... JCrimson uses nothing but the sp7 setting on his car and he says he only gets 27 MPG of mostly city driving but he is a pretty aggressive driver.

GD3 MPG @ sp7
Yes sir sp7 is a killer on mpg I all ways use sp7 Love it but I average 29 mpg
Just tried BP and my MPG went down alot, prob. from all the sea water in the gas these days .
I've always had the best results with Exxon.

Received mine in the mail today, thanks Panson! Install was a breeze, it took longer to figure out how to nicely route the wires and decide where I wanted the display than hooking up the wiring. The set up was a tad confusing but everything seems to be working so I must have done it right. I held the pedal at 2K RPM's while switching through some of the settings and SP7 is definitely noticeable. I didn't notice a ton of difference switching 1-6 but 7 jumped about 500 RPM's. I then went for a short cruise and the difference was noticeable for sure.

hooked on sp7
Hey davela72,
After I installed mine last year I took it for a short drive too but only a mile. The next day I went out and drove around and warmed the engine up to normal and That's when I could really feel a difference in the improved responce. But alas now I am hooked on sp7 and beat on my little Fit like a rented mule.

I can't remember Wild Bill... It's 3 AM, I haven't been to sleep yet but I will look at mine after some sleep.... I had trouble with it to but I can't remember if I had to squeeze or pry on it to get it loose.... Do your chickens need to eat early or what? Go get some sleep Wild Bill.
